Great IDEA! Useful for Horse and Musket games too!

could be used to show movement of things that are not on the table because you dont have LOS of them yet.

Quester: Exactly my first thought wehn I saw them! Mediocre minds think alike, I suppose!

How would these look for smoke to show artillery batteries which have fired? For Horse & Musket these would look better than the white smoke screen markers.

I would like to see SUPPRESSED or GONE TO GROUND markers.

Am I missing them on the web-site?

Great idea. My first thought was "Guess they're running out of markers to make." ;)

I read that cavalry, infantry and artillery could be distinguished by the dust clouds they raised in the American Civil War. I'll have to look that up: as quester said, this would be useful for units not yet on the table.

This is a great idea. Volley and Bayonet suggests using "dust cloud" markers for units in column formation. In fact, the 3" length is the perfect size for full-scale V&B. For those of use that play at less than full scale, it would be great to see other lengths available as well (2", 1.5", and 1.25"/30mm would be my requests).
