PRIDE OF LIONS stats for halflings riding pigs: WarPigs: Don't laugh; think of them as squealing living bowling balls. The sows do best when led by a boar, but the halfling riders can direct them into an enemy unit, usually bailing out just before impact. The pigs are fast and big and hard to bring down, and their squeals can be demoralizing. They will rarely destroy an enemy unit – they might trample loose order skirmishers – but they are excellent at disordering infantry and most cavalry. D8, but charging mounted gives them a D12; move 12", cost 16 points. If the pigs win the melee, the target must subtract 1 from any required die roll for disorder or becoming shaken. However, if the pigs win by greater than 4 but less than 9, treat the result as +4, winner pushes loser back 3"; loser becomes DISORDERED and tests morale, SHAKING on 1 or 2 (which with the -1 would mean shaking on 1, 2, or 3). But if the pigs do win by +9, the loser is picked up as usual and the pigs get a bonus move, although they do not become elated. If the pigs tie or lose the melee, they rout and are picked up at the end of their Run Away move. |

Awesome! I really like these! |

Billthecat, that was my question too. They do look interesting, especially since they aren't typical round little Halflings. They may serve well as Lilliputians for a 54mm or larger figure (and no I am not referencing the recent Jack Black version – that movie is, IMHO, unwatchable – but the actual book which was a childhood favorite) |

Someone told me that no more would war pigs have the power. Judging from this I guess he got it wrong. |

The arms on the hobbit militia are a bit puzzling. |

They look too long, like monkey arms, and the hands look large. Results in a puzzling look. Perhaps just the photograph? |

Yes, I think it is primarily the angle and the photograph. Having painted them up, I did not notice the arms being too long. |

I had the same question about the militia proportions. Upon viewing them in person, they match up with the older hobbit figures perfectly and the arms are normal. |

Cheers for that. Some of the poses are a little odd, though. Like the one to the right esp. |

I think he's a slinger; you don't want him throwing like a girl! |

Yup, second slinger pose. |

I just received a small order (halflings = small git it?!) and can indeed confirm that they do not posses monkey arms. I can't wait to get painting! |
