"Making the stuff in the way of my guns more interesting looking."

What desert's hills look like that?

I don't think they're hills so much as bloody great big rocks.

Must be some BIG posteriored Desert Horses or Desert Cattle that "left their mark on the desert". Looks not so good to me. I'll stay with my Terrain Guy desert terrain. Allen makes stuff that LOOKS good!

You don't see that sort of thing so much in *this* desert. Except where the burros have been.

Still, any effort to generate terrain for North Africa is probably better than none.

I tend to do rather long (15-18") escarpments with one gentle side and one steep side, and lots of smaller low rises to break up line of sight.

Agree with the comments, but they look nice anyway.

Looks more like a cow wandered onto the tabletop.

but no indication of the price. I bet when we learn these, we won't be laughing anymore…

Farstar02 Jul 2009 11:01 a.m. PST

@witteridderludo

On the contrary. I'm expecting a good "point and laugh".

I do like the Sandbags and Desert Sandbags "Dug In" markers, but I imagine I will choke at the price. Fortunately, I have a good many of the ones the terrain maker for the SSWC club was willing to cast up for me a few years ago.

Man you guys are brutal.

pilum4002 Jul 2009 12:30 p.m. PST

Thank me very much! :)

"Man you guys are brutal."

I do recall a request within the past few weeks to "tell it like you see it; call a Bleeped text a Bleeped text etc."

There are much more painful ways to discover that you've made something the target customer base doesn't want…

An even less painful way is not to wait until the item is produced before you get some public input.

Produce a product that doesn't look like cattle excrement and it would be a moot point! :)

Its just the same things as the European hills, brown painted. What a load of !@[!!

jameshammyhamilton03 Jul 2009 3:49 a.m. PST

I have to agree, the hills look really bad IMO.

Some of the other BF terrain offerings are rather nice but I will definitely be avoiding this one.

They could be worse…
They could have made them 'Scratch and Sniff'.
