Are these rules for 28mm gaming? Who makes figs for gaming ww2 in that scale and what do folks use for vehicles at that scale? Any comments about this game in particular…good? bad? just ok?

Bryan Shein01 Jan 2009 1:39 p.m. PST

Yes, they are for 28mm, however, they include charts for 15mm and 20mm games. There are several 25-28mm manufacturers – PSG carries the EEE 28mm line of figures and vehicles. I have used several 1/48 scale plastic kits, Die-Cast vehicles and the 1/56 scale. BGWWII is my favorite skirmish level games for games up to Company Level (100 figures) per side.

What are the chances of new Battleground WWII books being written?

It's like all the fan-sites just sort of died a few years ago.

"What are the chances of new Battleground WWII books being written?"

This would be a decision by the crew at EEE to make. When we were promoting the Pathfinder program, several additional rules and scenarios were generated. We developed glider landing rules and rules for the Fallshirmjager units for a new book. This would be a great piece to release.

I doubt you will ever see anything from them again the last thing I was on a waiting list for was the Vietnam rules and figures and that was I think over 7 years ago it was at the time of their break up as a company. It is a shame too because they are my favorite rules for WW2 I was hoping someone had a copy of the playtest rules I would have loved to adapted it for modern rules.

So, a fan published book is out of the question?

Bryan Shein02 Jan 2009 10:46 a.m. PST

I would check with EEE on that. In fact, let me try this for you and see if we can get a response. ; )

Bryan if your in contact with them ask them about their Nam rules any hope of that coming out?

Bryan Shein02 Jan 2009 8:40 p.m. PST

I agree. These are some of the best Vietnam rules I have played. I enjoyed playtesting these and ran several demo games as conventions. Let me see what we can do.

I like the rules a lot. I use them for 20mm and they work just fine. I'm sure once I get my 28mm figures painted they will work with them too.

By the way, what did happen to the company?

Bryan Shein07 Jan 2009 8:56 p.m. PST

45thdiv -

EEE took a hiatus from the industry. The miniatures and rules are still available. I have had communication with the guys from EEE and they could start adding more new rules/scenarios to the EEE lineup.
