Those are nice original robots! I really like them! Would work well with Pig Iron stuff it seems.

Best,

I'll be picking up some of these in the new year when I untap my figure purchasing limit. It might be interesting to give them some kind of limited leaping trait in a game.

Inquisitor Thaken31 Dec 2008 9:19 a.m. PST

Interesting model.

Broadsword31 Dec 2008 9:26 a.m. PST

Wow, very cool!

Is it possible to get the 25 robot deal for USD$40.00 WITHOUT any casualty figures included?

Custer7thcav31 Dec 2008 9:44 a.m. PST

I like these robots.

I think they may be incorporated into one of my 28mm sci fi armies.

Well Done.

Ron W DuBray31 Dec 2008 9:52 a.m. PST

nice looking bots but yea the casualties in the mix of 25 kind of make it a "no sale" for me

I like casualty figures in my game.

wolvermonkey31 Dec 2008 10:21 a.m. PST

Very cool minis. I can see those being used in alot of games.

But I agree, they should sell the casualty bots in a seperate pack.

Robert Crawford31 Dec 2008 10:21 a.m. PST

The cake is a lie.

The BUG is back!!!

and casualty figures (in miniatures) are sorta a 'bonus'…vs when they are among the GAMERS during the game…

sorta puts a crimp in things, dontcha know…

Slishfully,
Sgt DWW-btod

I love these!

Makes for some great, MkI prototype Terminators for a Rise of the Machines type of setting.

I am not usually a fan of robots, but I like these. They have a timeless quality about them, and would work from VSF up to … well, forever!
And being 40mm is no turnoff either, because what scale would a robot be anyway?

I am stunned by those badmouthing the 25 for $40 USD deal because a few casualties might creep in. Even if you get 5 casualties, that is still $2 USD per robot! My goodness, if I were working with a fat PayPal account, I would be all over that like ugly on an ape!
I hate human casualty figures, but in this case, they are a bonus in a VERY cheap deal.

StarfuryXL531 Dec 2008 11:42 a.m. PST

Agreed. The mega-deal makes it easy to get a horde going with a low price per figure. A few casualties doesn't affect it that much, and robot casualties are more versatile. I'd use them for set dressing, instead of tracking casualties. Even back when Micromachines battle droids were the only choice for Star Wars battles, I considered chopping a few of them up to place around the table, especially if a Jedi was involved.

Very cool 'bots indeed. I like the incorporation of current robotic and prosthetic design concepts in these 'bots. Very near-future look, I can see all sorts of uses for these lil' fellows! evil grin

jimbeau31 Dec 2008 12:51 p.m. PST

15mm would be very cool

and imagine how many you could get for $40!

Very cool! RoboCop with a Galil!

I'd be all over a force of these in 15mm. Make it so!

Inverse01 Jan 2009 5:17 p.m. PST

Why do I picture these things going up against T-whatever 'Terminators':

"The war all but lost to us, then we realized: take their greatest strengths, and use them against them…within a week, the first 'Mechanized' unit was deployed, with reinforced 'Asimov Laws'…'T's' didn't know what him 'em…"

AndrewGPaul02 Jan 2009 11:43 a.m. PST

mrwigglesworth, that's what I was thinking. The article does say they're 40mm tall, though; I'd like to see them next to some standard 28mm minis.
