NapThyme:

I admire your tenacity,
persistence and fortitude
regarding this classic line:
Excelsior!

Sadly, what with the holidays;
I likely can't order until the New Year..
I'll try to squeeze through an order asap
to offer more encouragement than 'mere Words'.

I am a persistant one aren't I?

I do have the other figs as well that I previewed on my blog, there part of the stuff waiting on me to get finished and ready to go….

No hurry I have plenty instock, but they have been setting here a month now and they needed to be finished and posted…

{ …DayDreams of Napthyme winning the Lotto and
purchasing the Hobby Products "DemonWorld" line,
thus becoming the Undisputed Champion and
King of 15mm Fantasy Miniatures….}

LoL…. I've got other things higher on my list then the demonworld line on the day I win the "big one"

Napthyme: PDF version of the rules anytime soon ?

napthyme05 Nov 2009 11:24 a.m. PST

I've begged, Pleaded, stomped up and down, threatened to hold my breath till I die, anything I can think of to get them to do a PDF…

The responce was well when hell freezes over we'll see, but probably not then either…

I wonder why the resistance?

Also, how much does the print copy cost anyway? No price on your advert and none I could find on the website from a cursory look.

I poked around a long time before I found the place you'd actually buy it. It was $30. USD

You go into Products, then into the funky green widget choose rule books from the menu on the top right.

Easiest reason for some companies not wanting to produce a PDF version?

Bit Torrent.

(truly, even though some unscrupulous SOB will take the time to scan the book in and post it and other unscrupulous SOBS will then take the time to download – read steal – the product, producing it in a PDF makes the pirate's job soooo much easier)

Thanks Andy. The price is right so it's on my list of things to waste money on. :-)

Talking about PDFs is like talking about religion over cocktails. There was a HUGE brew-ha about Wizards pulling back all of their PDFs because of bit torrent and other file sharing. The community was outraged when they did as they pleased with their own products!

But file sharing…that's reason enough I suppose. At least you make it hard for pirates.

napthyme05 Nov 2009 3:14 p.m. PST

Yeah that was there main reason for not doing PDF, that and having so many printed copies on hand.

I have managed to talk them into some kind of a PDF quick start book that would let people kick the tires of the system, but I have not had any word on that lately, so no idea how far that has gotten…
