Truly "new" or a Saxon Miniatures re-release?

These look exactly like Gripping Beast figures. So much so that I just got mine out to confirm it. I honestly can't tell the difference.

Re-release of the former Saxon Miniatures models. Entirely new to Warlord though.

The sculptor produced a lot of the Gripping Beast figures so not surprised they look similar!

Thanks for the reply. I purchased almost everything Colin sold as Saxon so I'm watching for truly new releases he is doing for Warlord.

You saved me having to dig through my collection. Sadly the Arthurians are not painted so it would be a project to match them up.

I will probably be asking this same question every time you post up more of what looks like the Saxon Miniatures range.

That will be an easy answer – everything Colin had previously released (apart from the scenery) is already released and has been advertised here.

So, any new Dark Ages miniatures will be brand new sculpts – Colin has done quite a few for us already so they'll be making their way into the wild fairly soon (TM). ;)

So the replacement Saxon Huscarls are coming soon? That was the last thing he previewed on FB but did not release before turning it to Warlord.

I see the Huscarls A & B on the webstore, but I think those are the originals not the new guys. Set me straight, would ya?

I gotta credit Warlord, your Dark Ages lines rival GB now. All in all I think you have more to offer than GB.

Looking forward to some Warlord purchases.

Yeah, fair cop – I'd forgotten about those!

I imagine we'll release these as extra Huscarls or perhaps look at reworking them into Hearthguard or similar.

That's good to hear. I asked the Warlord customer service team about the replacement huscarles recently, they didn't know what the hell I was talking about and kept trying to claim the current warlord huscarles packs were them even after I showed them Colin's photo of the replacement sculpts. Quick as you can, please Paul, I'm ready for those reinforcements!

Paul, any idea when we are likely to see new sculpts being released, and what is likely to be released. I've a couple of armies that I was building using the Saxon Miniatures figures that have been left in limbo since the sale of the ranges last August.

Viking, Norman and late Saxon command groups for starters!

We're also filling in gaps with missing archers, javelinmen, characters, etc for the various Dark Age ranges. I'm not planning on commissioning any new ranges for this period until we've covered all bases on the ones we bought from Colin.

Thanks for the reply. Look forward to seeing the new figures when they are released.
