Seriously, just give up on Black Gobbo, or bring back your actual creative team. It's just embarrassing now.

Time to cut the life support it's dead…

True. Used to be some good stuff in Black Gobbo. Now it's an extended ad for the lateset release.

Why do they still make this trash? BG used to have some interesting articles, but lately (the last year) it's been a re-has of WD articles and advertisements.

Put it to rest already!

I am happy to be critical of GW when they do things worthy of the effort. HOWEVER … this is a FREE magazine. I tend not to be critical of FREE. If you don't like it, don't bother with it. If they charged money for it, then yes, bring out the big guns and fire away.

Most of the content, most of the time, is now just "extra" pages they didn't put into White Dwarf. It's become a photo showcase for the latest models, which is pretty much what White Dwarf has become.

I don't want Black Gobbo to be a showcase for the latest minis. I want new scenarios and terrain building articles, and how to customize some new kit so your model is unique. Campaign rules and other nifty useable articles. But that Black Gobbo is mostly gone now.

Luckily, they have all the back issues still available for access, so there are tons of useful articles to reference as needed. But it's been many issues since they had anything worthwhile.

Still, it's FREE.

Free or otherwise, it bears GW's imprint, and officially represents the company and its efforts to persuade people to buy their product. Apparently, they now feel that showing off their in-house painting talent is an acceptable substitute for interesting content.

I miss the battle reports.

All of the staff who used to make the kind of Black Gobbo you are looking for have been made redundant.
