What's the twin-tailed aircraft in the picture? |
Virtualscratchbuilder | 11 Jul 2012 4:27 a.m. PST |
That sure looks like a Mig-17 rather than a Mig-19. |
GeoffQRF | 11 Jul 2012 4:30 a.m. PST |
G Dog, based on that text, that will be a B-24 |
| BattlerBritain | 11 Jul 2012 4:38 a.m. PST |
Looks like a B-25 to me? More typos? |
| ACWBill | 11 Jul 2012 4:54 a.m. PST |
That is a B-25. B-24 had 4 engines. |
Virtualscratchbuilder | 11 Jul 2012 5:07 a.m. PST |
I dunno about the B-25. Nacelles look too thin and do not trail enough from the trailing edge of the wing and the nose looks more like that of a Wellington. |

Looking at th ranges, almost there for the Battle of Britain. Need a 1/200 HE 111. The 1/300 range is useless as it stands. |
| optional field | 11 Jul 2012 5:48 a.m. PST |
There are a lot of other ranges of 1/300, so it's not really a useless range. The gaps can be filled in with other manufacturers planes. |
Sundance | 11 Jul 2012 6:38 a.m. PST |
One problem with 1/300 ranges is that if you are just doing the same planes that the other three or four ranges are doing, and the price isn't lower or the quality isn't significantly higher for the price, yes, it is a useless range. |
elsyrsyn | 11 Jul 2012 7:33 a.m. PST |
Variety and competition are a good thing, and I'm always glad to see more 1/300 aircraft lines. Or is it "useless" when somebody else makes a line of 28mm middle imperial romans? I wonder how the canopies would look if these were done in a clear instead of a frosted material? Might be interesting. Doug |

I dunno about the B-25. Nacelles look too thin and do not trail enough from the trailing edge of the wing and the nose looks more like that of a Wellington. Agree that the nose and nacelles are a bit too thin for a B-25, but that's the closest match, that's got to be what it is. |

the 2 engined plane is a B25J model. elongated nose and dorsal turret moved forward. earlier models had the dorsal turret further back on the fuselage. |

Sorry for the typos – I guess I couldn't read my own hand writing The Air200 range A2-US109 – TBF Avenger – $5.99 USD A2-US302 – B-25 – $8.99 USD The Air300 range
A3-SV102 – MiG-17 – $3.00 USD A3-US106 – F4 Phantom – $6.00 USD I also didn't clarify in our posting that these are the masters used in making the production models – they will be all cast in metal. The A300 range currently consists of 11 planes – All of these planes are used in the production of the Check Your 6! starter sets that are produced by Noble Miniatures The Air200 range consists of 31 planes now and will be expended as well soon. Thanks Peter The Last Square |

Nice looking aircraft, especially the jets. |
Lion in the Stars | 11 Jul 2012 2:23 p.m. PST |
They do look nice, the F4 is gorgeous! So, who carries these in the US? |
TGerritsen | 11 Jul 2012 2:43 p.m. PST |
Ummmm
.The Last Square carries them in the US. They are in the US. |
lloydthegamer | 11 Jul 2012 3:49 p.m. PST |
I believe the twin tailed plane is a B-25 strafer with the 8 gun nose. |
The Last Square | 11 Jul 2012 6:28 p.m. PST |
Hello Lion in the Stars – these will be available at our booth, #60 out at Historicon and then will be available on-line in our web store probably the week after Historicon. If you can't make it out to Historicon – check out our web site lastsquare.com in about a week or two |

These masters look like they were created via CAD and 3D printing. If that's the case, I wonder if there would be a marked for them in whatever this translucent material is. As some have said, ghost planes do have their uses. |

Who carries the 1/300th range in the UK? Is it Magister Militum? |
The Last Square | 12 Jul 2012 11:07 a.m. PST |
Yes, correct -- these are designed with CAD. Michael Pennock is the sculptor -- he's attending Historicon and will be in our booth to show off some of the items he's sculpted with this technology. He has his own company (Arctic Skunk) and, I'm sure, would be happy to talk to anyone about projects they're thinking about. I, too, was surprised when I saw these coming through with the see-through stuff -- I thought sculptors only worked in "greens". Karl is busy working with Valiant to get production molding and spin casting done for Historicon. Never a dull moment. |
