Are these cast from the old Man O'War moulds? Somehow I have decades old fleets of both the human and the steam-driven models still on the shelf ;) |

No, those are all new sculpts by a totally different company. They're just filling a need since there are a good many MoW players out there

These are a welcome addition for Man o' War players but- is it possible for the manufacturer to get some better photos on their site? The postage stamp size shots don't give much more than a general idea of the shape of the ships. |

So much fuglier than the Uncharted Seas stuff Spartan are putting out. I know where my pennies will be going, and it ain't here. |

The pictures on their site are larger than they are displayed, if running Firefox, right click on them and select 'view image' to see them full size. If using IE, umm right click, do properties, copy the URL of the image and paste in your browser. They really should have links to the full size images on their site though. |

I would say comparing these much smaller sculpts to the Uncharted Seas stuff is really apples and oranges. But regardless of that I far prefer these, and the original Man o' War models (and the game itself) to the Uncharted Seas line, as nice as it may be. |

Uncharted Seas is a neat game and I like that the ships are 1/600- but Man O War is my favorite game of all time. I know the designs can be a tad cartoony and a little silly, but the game plays like a dream and it is amazingly fun. I spent several years collecting everything made for the game and then trying to double what I had later on. I just can't get enough. Bravo to GFTCO for doing this. The ships look great in my opinion! KEEP IT UP! |

Judging by their typically tiny photos, these look like soap-mould castings of the old GW dwarf Man-O-War ships. If I was going to do an 'homage', or better yet, a "one better" job of the old MOW castings, I think I would have gone a bit farther than this. I can still read most of the serial numbers. |

After looking at these more closely you can tell that they aren't recasts. These are new sculpts. They are very simple sculpts, but effective for Man O War. |
