Another sexy napoleonic rule-book. We live in truly Nap-tastic times. Vive le wargame! |

I hadn't even realised there had been a second edition. It was released originally how long ago? |

It is a grand thing to have to choose between Shako II and LFSIII. Perhaps I shan't choose at all and play both depending on who comes over :). As to the 2nd edition date, I find it interesting that my .pdf copy has neither copyright date nor a date on its "intro to the second edition" remarks

Le Feu Sacre II was published in 2005. The third edition is much enlarged to cover the wider period of 1792 to 1815 rather than just the Imperial period that the rules originally were designed for. The mechanics are changing subtly in what the author says is 'evolution rather than revolution', so long time LFS players will be able to make the transition in a relatvely seamless fashion, although there are some significant changes in detail that we feel make the rules more streamline to use but still giving a really plausible feel for a Napoleonic battle and retaining what many gamers say is the true strenght of the rules; the fact that they present the gamer with the same choices that an historical commander would have to make on the battlefield. We produced LFSII when TooFatLardies was very much a hobby, anyone looking at the third edition will see a vast improvement in quality of the production, in the way the rules are presented and their clarity. Good news is that the hard copy will be just £12.00 GBP and the pdf edition £7.00, or you can have both for just £15.00. We are trying very hard to stick to the price promise we made four years ago and this falls in line with that – better quality for the same old price. |

I've been waiting for these. I love LFS and to have it expanded to cover the Revolution is fantastic news indeed! *goes back to impatiently awaiting the pre-order announcement* |
