They look excellent, and something else for my very limited budget to be spent on. Cracking paint job on the standard bearer too. I hope that you plan to offer some unit/regiment packs? |

Not my thing but they look good apart from Pharoah's arm! As an archer I find that a very peculiar angle! |

Darn. Wish these were plastic. The weight considerations of storage for my metals is just..well, expensive given the numbers needed (wanted?) for this era. Really nice stuff, just wish it was plastic. |

Really looking forward to seeing photos of rest of NKE models. So glad Allies along with native Hittites being done. Lots of scope for other armies of the period. I have the Pharoah chariot and it paints up really well. Like the sound of wider Biblical range
any more thoughts on that Nick?? |

How do these scale next to.Black Tree Design? My existing NKE are BTD and it would be nice if they are of similar height

Another vote for plastics, as you say bearing in mind numbers needed. Excellent sculpts though, well done |

amounts needed depends on rule sets. A slight reduction in points also helps. Blacktree are massive but these should blend in reasonably well. |

Looks like lots of good stuff happening with these. : ) Are there any plans for doing some Assyrians? |
colin knight | 19 Apr 2014 6:57 a.m. PST |
Have not bought WI magazine for ages. This is one I will be getting. Need to have a beer tonight to take my mind off this great news and the wait till I get some. UKs top sculpter doing Biblicals
almost too good to be true:) |
Guynemer | 19 Apr 2014 8:01 a.m. PST |
@GamesPoet If they did sculpt a range of Assyrians for the same period, they'd be pretty boring. You could really just get generic Bronze Age figures in tunics and give some of them helmets and beards, or even Syrians and Babylonians with Hittites for chariots. It wasn't until later that Assyrians got the iconic scale armour, boots and other regulation gear. Nicely sculpted as this stuff is, it's cliched and uninspiring. For once, can we see some Saitic Egyptians? So many possibilities, Carchemish included. At present practically all Egyptian ranges are new kingdom, and most Assyrian ranges are Sargonoid and onward. No compatibility! One very disappointed Assyrian. }:o( |

True, the time periods are different, and thus the clothing would be as well. |

Where are the Persians ? That were promised years ago? Mike Adams What Persians? Have you got me mixed up with someone else? Immortal Miniatures perhaps? Thanks for the plastic votes guys, but North Star doesn't make plastics. We stock lots of plastics, you need to be nagging Warlord or Perrys or Victrix, not us. |
Teklea2018 | 19 Apr 2014 11:33 a.m. PST |
What Persians? Have you got me mixed up with someone else? Immortal Miniatures perhaps? Wasn't it Gorgon doing the Persians, rather than North Star or Immortal? |
NickNorthStar | 19 Apr 2014 1:02 p.m. PST |
Ay Up Dave! There were some 'three ups' for Immortal Miniatures plastic Persians once upon a time, they are probably in a store cupboard at Warlord Games now. Anyway, once the 'Kadesh' part of the range is done, Steve is keen to do Mycenaeans next. |
Teklea2018 | 19 Apr 2014 1:18 p.m. PST |
'Ay Up Dave!' Had to Google translate that – it says it's dialect from up Norf somewhere! :-) Cracking figures coming out of North Star Nick and the paint job on the flesh of that NKE standard bearer is a bit good too!! |

Myceneans
drool! I'm gonna have to make sure I will have funds available :-) The Pharao looks absolutely lovely and a bargain for 10 quid. Will be included in my next order. Otherwise I am with Augustus, if only they were plastics.. Anyhow, great sculpts and I'll be following the articles in WI with interest. Cheers SP |

Nick, a long time ago, Steve promised Persians to go with his Greeks that he did for Foundry and Gorgon! I just want to know if he is planning on doing them!!!! I like his work and even got his hoplites from you! Also waiting for my order. Mike Adams |

.Darren Webber.."Beasts of Bolsover" site is in planning stage for Saitic Egyptians in 28mm. I suppose we should be letting the Kadesh range come out before hitting North Star with big wish list:) However nice to imagine possibilities for lovely ranges. Mycenaeans sounds good. It is an army I have never really got stuck into. As for talk of Assyrians
NeoBabylonians would be rather nice. At the moment I am looking very much forward to if Hittite chariots will in MDF and how they will look. |
colin knight | 20 Apr 2014 5:40 a.m. PST |
Also meant to ask if the codes listed is the completed NKE range or more additions to follow prior to Hittites.? |
Skeptic | 20 Apr 2014 8:33 a.m. PST |
Yet more choice in terms of 28mm Mycenaeans would be great. |
NickNorthStar | 20 Apr 2014 12:13 p.m. PST |
I was saying to Mike by PM, the Persians need to taken up with Foundry and Gorgon not me. I didn't give Steve the job as North Star figure designer with a brief to do Persians. As I said in the news piece, the Biblical range came out of 'Of Gods and Mortals'. Steve made some Hoplites for his 'off-piste' Lucid Eye range link but anyone who has followed Steve's career will know he as a Greek fixation, and that's best not analysed. |
