"Free Gaming Mats for Clubs" Topic

Interesting: I have been waiting since February for the double-sided (desert/green) mat.

Months ago BF stated that they had problems with their initial mat supplier and a delay would be unavoidable since they would have to switch.

At the end of last month my online retailer cancelled the order stating non-delivery and offered me a gift certificate for the amount paid.

Now, they are giving mats away for free-?????

I think people were extremely disappointed by the quality of the final products. They switched supplier and the factory did not deliver anything of acceptable quality.

But that's generous to offer the over stock they may have.

What final product: the two, and only two reviews I read complained of odors and other defects-?

Again, my retailer did not receive any stock which were based on pre-orders.

I could care less about their 'generosity' in giving away a defective product.

I bought a very large amount of their desert terrain items which were color-coded to the mat; this is about extremely poor product management and customer service – not a feel good pr blurb to deflect and cover up their incompetence.

Seems i am in a different stance? It is all opinion anyway??

Bought mine from the local shop. Very pleased with it. It is excellent quality. No defects on the one i bought. I am using the desert side for Western games. The other (green) side is very bright so I use that for Vietnam.

I paid / pre-ordered the mat (fact).

My retailer took my money months ago for a very large pre-order of the mat and desert terrain (fact).

I spent hundreds of dollars on pre-painted BF terrain to go with the mat (fact).

I received all the terrain over a several month period (fact).

Last month my retailer cancelled the pre-order (fact).

Give aways are nice. I got my free Churchill in the Northwest Frontier from Bolt Action a while back. Nice deal.

I asked for a mat so our local club can play FoW on it.
