Lovely looking models!

You are right about the green. British Racing Green is not an exact shade, but it is darker than that!

I have actually seen one of these race in a historic racing event. It was in the blue and yellow Prince Bira livery. Shame a model can't replicate the sound and smells of these cars….

I like these a lot, have been thinking also about the early F1 racers you did, not sure what I would game them with though.

I bought a box of the first, 3-car release, in 1/100th scale. I was really pleased with the quality of the resin castings (the bodies of the cars) but the wheels are disappointing, with nasty casting artefacts, and the metal axles don't fit! Also, the drivers are an issue – they don't sit in the cars at all. :(

I wish Minairons would re-visit these, perhaps re-doing the bodies with drivers in their seats, all as a single casting, rather than with separate drivers.

In spite of that, I am pleased they are continuing with this range.

Joep – I'm working on a pre-war version of the racing game Formula D. Check out my thread on Boardgamegeek:

They are a perfect start for building vanships from the anime "Last Exile". That series is full of ideas for steampunk aerial combat.

I thought the exact same thing Steam Flunky!

The other nice thing about these is that ERA sold to anyone, so they can be painted in quite a few of the 1930's national racing paint schemes.

I've ordered Minairons three car set for 1/100 scale.
We do a lot of 15mm gaming, using European style buildings.
I'd like to have a game were the track can be laid out on the table around the terrain.
Martin; your project looks solid and very well done so far.
I would buy that when it's ready;
Thanks;
Joe
