That guy must be HUGE! He uses a tie fighter solar panel as a shield.

I thought the same thing. Too bad the sculptor didn't pick up on this, as it distracts from an otherwise very nice figure. Maybe it's something that can come with an alternative shield.

It may just be painted that way. To me, it doesn't look like all the "panel" lines running from the boss to the rim are sculpted on, but are just painted in.

What scale are these figures? I can't find it on the website.

I think this is a fantastic fig and have no trouble seeing this as a shield instead of a tie fighter panel.

DGS Figs are true 32mm equivalent to heroic 28mm. I've been thinking I should put a quarter in a photo next to him for scale. I'll work on putting something like that together so it is easier to see the true size of the figure.

I had the same thought. But it can't be a TIE panel because TIEs don't have shields. laugh

Very nice figure, TIE wing or not. grin

They look really good. I was hoping they'd be an alternative to GW Warhammer figs?

Tom at DGS Games17 Dec 2014 1:04 p.m. PST

Battler – We have some size comparison shots next to other figures, I'll have to check if have one done next to GW Warhammer figs. If I find one, I'll post here or PM you a link.

A shot next to a ruler would work well too. Nice model.

… or could it be that the shape of his shield is really a typical shield shape that the TIE fighter wing just happened to copy????

I don't think it'd the shape so much as the diagonal cross beams. Those aren't a feature of Germanic shields.

But reinforcing the h3ll out of your shield does look pretty dwarven!
