I thought that Kursk was considered the tank battle of the war.

While there were a lot of tanks committed to the Kursk operation the individual battles are a different matter. The Prokhorovka battle wasn't as big as has been made out. By contrast some of the 1941 battles involved a lot of tanks on both sides. This book is on my list to read. 1941/42 I find more interesting than some of the later battles.

Looks like a really interesting read, I agree the early East Front deserves some love, for me at the smaller game scales.
