Let's hope no one tries to open that link on their phone. The image alone weighs a solid 4.7 Mb. (A tip: setting a smaller image size in html does not change the download size of the file) |

I downloaded and well… I didn't quite read it, more skimmed it and got about halfway before giving up. Since this is obviously your first publication so I'll go for some costructive criticism. Content is always more important than presentation but at a certain point the presentation can get so distracting that it's impossible to see the content. - Try to limit the number of fonts, and choose fonts that fit the subject. Stencil fonts (like page 5, "A COMPNAY") carry a very "mid twentieth century military" look. - Stick to a few text sizes. Be consistent – don't change text size and width to fit in table cells. -Use colour sparingly outside images. Keep body text black on a light background. - Don't change the aspect ratio of images (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aspect_ratio_(image)). Assume that the artist knows what he's doing. - Page 3. Calm down, you're talking to fast. And what's a BP? - There are dots over the ä in Zweihänder. It says so right on the cover. |

I noticed a typo in the first paragraph: "Elves had created the Temple Nodes to focus magical energy and allow greater workings of magic and accessible to all who knew the secrete [sic] of their use." Maybe it is supposed to be an "olde" style spelling. I also noticed an inconsistency on the size of a company. "Companies are 3, 6 or 9 total figures." Then the next paragraphs says "Use six to nine stands of figures depending on size of company." I haven't read far enough to see if there are more. |
