No problem. Getting back into fast service.

Anyone needing other nations, or more unit specific cards just ask and it shall be done.

Gordon … the Japanese flag with the sun rays and the offset sun is the imperial navy flag. That would be appropriate for the SNLF only.

The same flag with rays and the "meatball" centered is the imperial army flag. Perhaps you should do a second set using the army flag, or simply replace the navy flag with an army flag.

Did a little search when I was looking for the flag and apparantly this was also used by the Japanese Army, one of several types used by them.

From a graphic perspective its probably more regognisagele as WW2 Japanese than the basic meatball, sort of like using the German cross instead of the flag of the day.

Still, if anyone wants one happy to do a basic meatball if anyone wants it.

Japanese SNLF fine by me, more than happy to use with my IJA.

I may certainly be mistaken, but I've never found any information that led me to belive their army flew a naval ensign.

The "rising sun" flag basically had two versions. One had the sun centered – that was the army version. One had the sun offset to one side (the hoist side) – that was the naval ensign.

The army did indeed use different sizes of flags, but the "meatball" was always centered. And both had 16 "rays" of the sun.

The naval ensign was used not just aboard ships, but by their land personnel. The Japanese "Navy" had plenty of troops – including the Special Naval Landing Force, and even tanks under their command.

The third flag most folks would know was the red sun centered in an all-white field. That was the national flag.

I'm not complaining about the flag on the cards, just wanted to point out the flag used was the naval ensign (used by naval ground forces) and not the army flag.
