I want some of those.

DeanMoto03 Feb 2011 12:08 p.m. PST

That's a really great paint job – and nice ears too!

Angel Barracks03 Feb 2011 12:08 p.m. PST

Ding Dong.

Dave Knight03 Feb 2011 12:09 p.m. PST

Vile

Space Monkey03 Feb 2011 12:11 p.m. PST

speaking of hiding miniatures purchases from SOs… I think this one would best be kept from view.

CmdrKiley03 Feb 2011 12:20 p.m. PST

Why does this remind of Sucker Punch?

Then again, why does Sucker Punch remind me of so many of the mini games I play?

doc mcb03 Feb 2011 12:21 p.m. PST

Well, she's lovely, and a fine paint job on a great sculpt.

But, uh, WHY?

Personal logo Parzival Supporting Member of TMP03 Feb 2011 12:27 p.m. PST

If it weren't for the stuffed animal and the cat-hat, she'd just be another more-of-the-same over-the-top Sci-fantasy fig. But with those in place, she becomes something different. Not something I'd want on my tabletop either way, thanks.

AndrewGPaul03 Feb 2011 12:28 p.m. PST

Looks like a cosplayer from a comic con. She'd do well in a Zombies game, I think.

Jovian103 Feb 2011 12:55 p.m. PST

Wow, no "needs more boobies" comments yet. Not my cup of tea – I thought they would showcase some of the painting assist stuff too.

Dravi7403 Feb 2011 1:01 p.m. PST

That is a figure that looks fantastic, until you see the crotchless trousers!! Then it became a figure I just wouldn't bother with.

Terrement03 Feb 2011 1:14 p.m. PST

Paint her in tights under the trousers. Not the first limited edition sex figure from them.

Battle Miniatures Emporium03 Feb 2011 1:43 p.m. PST

Nice sculpt.

Space Monkey03 Feb 2011 2:25 p.m. PST

Paint her in tights under the trousers. Not the first limited edition sex figure from them.
I think the issue is that she appears to be barely pubescent in age. At least that's how my girlfriend would read it.

Guy Innagorillasuit03 Feb 2011 2:40 p.m. PST

Your girlfriend sounds old.

Space Monkey03 Feb 2011 2:49 p.m. PST

No, just kind of paranoid and 'sensitive'. Part of a large contingent these days that see 'pedophiles' in the woodpile.

Ganesha Games Sponsoring Member of TMP03 Feb 2011 3:34 p.m. PST

I think it's just anime-inspired. Badass lil girls are a staple in anime.

Gattamalata03 Feb 2011 3:36 p.m. PST

Britney Spears at it again…

Daffy Doug03 Feb 2011 3:44 p.m. PST

What the hell….

Farstar03 Feb 2011 4:14 p.m. PST

She's taller than the base is wide. Stuffed animal or no, she's not a "little girl".

Jana Wang03 Feb 2011 4:40 p.m. PST

The slim build, teddy bear and mouse ears scream "pre-teen", regardless of how tall the figure is or what she was supposed to represent. If she didn't have an overtly sexual display of panty I'd have less problems with it.

CPT Jake03 Feb 2011 4:42 p.m. PST

I agree with Jana. Put pants on the kid, and while you're at it trade teddy for a glock and it would be a decent figure. As is, I don't have use for it.

Space Monkey03 Feb 2011 5:12 p.m. PST

Looks like she also has a tail of some sort.

J Womack 9403 Feb 2011 6:08 p.m. PST

I'm with CPT Jake. Make her a cos-play zombiepocalypse survivor and we're in business. As is… does seem a bit peedo.

But then, Deleted by Moderator

Eeeeeew.

darthfozzywig03 Feb 2011 6:53 p.m. PST

There is something funny, though, about suggesting "give the girl a Glock" and then it's all ok.

The penis is evil! The gun is good!

Syrinx003 Feb 2011 7:03 p.m. PST

They have quite a collection of weirdly different figures. Some of them are quite striking in their sculpting but I can't conceive of buying most of them.

Perhaps if you just wanted something really different to paint…

jeffrsonk03 Feb 2011 7:06 p.m. PST

Can we have a pedobear smiley for this?

Mike OBrien03 Feb 2011 7:20 p.m. PST

Great paint job. I feel like a perv checking out the fig though. Put her in a pair of pants, and maybe a shirt, and not so bad. I agree that she looks like a Cosplay figure though.

Vosper03 Feb 2011 7:29 p.m. PST

Definitely conversion possibilities there – redo the mickey hat, swap the bear for an assault rifle, and paint in some proper trousers – then it would work for a skirmish game without drawing undo attention to itself, I think.

GypsyComet03 Feb 2011 8:21 p.m. PST

"a tail of some sort."

The CMON Store has several angles. That's her hair.

The store also indicates something this story does not: She's cast in resin.

J Womack 9403 Feb 2011 9:19 p.m. PST

Well, if its resin jailbait, then that's okay…

MacrossMartin03 Feb 2011 9:41 p.m. PST

Seconds Pedobear smiley. I'd almost suggest re-sculpting her teddy into Pedobear! But seriously, this is the kind of mini that must make a LOT of people conclude that wargamers belong in the same clubhouse as hentai fanboys and just down the street from the Realdoll Appreciation Society.

I don't mind my women a little on the anime side, but there's something about this figure that makes me feel dirty… and not in a fun way, either.

Also, I don't think she's read her Zombie Survivor's Guide – teddybears have been proven – in multiple encounters – to have only marginal value in a fight with the undead.

Rogzombie Fezian03 Feb 2011 10:01 p.m. PST

I think its cool and I dont give much a damn what paranoid society thinks of it. I see nothing preteen about it??? The mickey mouse hat and teddy bear just let me know the girl aint all right and shes carrying a sword :( Stop worrying about what people think of you, they already know you're weird :)

Rogzombie Fezian03 Feb 2011 10:03 p.m. PST

Oh, yeah, its not a teddy bear even cough-kneejerk-cough. It has a lions tail and I cant even make out the head???

Space Monkey03 Feb 2011 10:55 p.m. PST

Maybe it's full of explosives? Pull the cord on it's back and it will sing a happy song as you throw it into the enemy's bunker and KABOOM!!!

grapes475003 Feb 2011 11:29 p.m. PST

I think you should ask to see her birth certificate, she does look a little underage…..

alien BLOODY HELL surfer04 Feb 2011 3:11 a.m. PST

wow, lets all overreact! Nice figure, I'd say the way the face it painted makes her look about 16-17. I do acknowledge though that that is jailbait in the US, but not in Europe.

CPT Jake04 Feb 2011 3:19 a.m. PST

Not the glock but the PANTS that would make the figure acceptable in my eyes. I suggest the gun because in a world with zombies, holding a two handed sword with one hand and a toy with the other sounds like a good way to end up zombie food.

I think the figure is well sculpted, but again, needs PANTS if I am going to use it.

Stealth100004 Feb 2011 3:52 a.m. PST

Great sculpt great paint job. Fantastic figure and on my list. I dont have a problem with a femal figure. But them I am from the UK and not freaked out by such things.

Buff Orpington04 Feb 2011 4:19 a.m. PST

Really don't see this pre-teen idea. She looks more like an overdressed heptathlete.

Old Bear04 Feb 2011 5:08 a.m. PST

So, no massive norks (the traditional jolly for wargamers it seems), a Mickey Mouse hat, a teddy bear, and some of you still don't get it. Frankly although this is by no mean the worst it says a lot about wargamers. How often do you see wargamers bleating about getting a bad press? Well just killing stuff is nothing compared the where this is going. It's not the first time this subject has received less than the damning it deserves to get here either.

Anybody who makes light of child sex abuse has never witnessed the damage it does. My wife does EVERY day and I just showed her this and you don't have a big enough bleeper to cover what she thought of it.

alien BLOODY HELL surfer04 Feb 2011 5:28 a.m. PST

you and your wife compared this figure to child abuse? jeez. I am shocked, truly shocked. Whilst the figure does not have massive boobs, just because she is either flat chested/wearing a sports bra I cannot see that in any way is this A/ supposed to be a pre-teen child, and B/ can be linked to child abuse. That and you think it/people are making light of child abuse? I don't think anyone here – including the sculptor and painter have done anything to indicate making light of child abuse. That's a dangerous accusation to make of people too.

Battle Miniatures Emporium04 Feb 2011 5:44 a.m. PST

Uhh…give me a break… seriously.
WOW!
I am working on some kids and some of them are going to be girls and a few of them are going to have bare bellies and legs.
So I am a Pornographer?
The guys that made Mad Max 3 with the Feral Kids are dirty old men too then.
Lord give me strength…

Old Bear04 Feb 2011 6:12 a.m. PST

you and your wife compared this figure to child abuse? jeez. I am shocked, truly shocked.

No, but some of the attitudes on display here at at best reckless and in some cases verging on the distasteful. This, IMHO, is not a subject you mess around with in any shape or form. As far as I'm concerned you even start thinking about sculpting in this direction, you need to take a deep breath and a long look in the mirror to ask yourself why it is you even want to go down that route.

Based on the last two posts though neither of you have any idea what child abuse is, because it runs a hell of a lot deeper than just the worst case end results. When you are, or have been (like myself) professionally involved with the carnage that this subject does to real humans you have a tolerance level of zero – absolutely zero – for anything edging even close.

That and you think it/people are making light of child abuse? I don't think anyone here – including the sculptor and painter have done anything to indicate making light of child abuse. That's a dangerous accusation to make of people too.

If you can find a direct accusation aimed at anybody in what I have written then good luck to you.

Stealth100004 Feb 2011 6:30 a.m. PST

How about we all stop using German figures cos thats supporting the Nazies and we know they did very bad things too. For god sake get a grip man. For starters its a scuplt of a fully clothed person. And if it was a real girl of whatever age i dont think with that sword she has anything to worry about. You know some times if you have a hammer every problem looks like a nail. And sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. And all most see is a cigar.

Freak from Vienna04 Feb 2011 7:21 a.m. PST

Well, technically, one could argue a cigar is a phallic shaped object intended originally specifically for male mouths and thus a symbol of repressed homoerotic urges running rampant amongst c. 18th cetury European gentry.

Of course, I do hail from the place Freud called home, so I guess I'm predisposed toward Bleeped text sexual interpretations.

Aside from that, the fig does look like it's intended as a late-teen girl, particularly with that paint job.

Nothing wrong with that though, per se. Unless you're able to explain intelligently to a same-age real-world girl who's into cosplay and dresses up as some anime char why that is wrong per se.

Battle Miniatures Emporium04 Feb 2011 8:49 a.m. PST

Ditto Tony.

If anybody sees a girl that is not ugly, and they feel dirty about what they are thinking…then they may need help.

YOU people Are the ones with the filth in your head, if you think this cool little tough girl is porno…YOU are the ones attempting to make it dirty.

It ain't dirty…and she is a little badass.

You go girl, now toss that Teddy Bear BOMB into the tank full of Deleted by Moderator.

BOOM!

Good girl…now wait there with your big razor sharp sword to see if any come out of the smoking wreck.

Sic'em Baby Girl!!!

GypsyComet04 Feb 2011 10:11 a.m. PST

"Well, if its resin jailbait, then that's okay…"

Stop projecting on people you don't know. This is a product detail not included in the news story.

Being cast in resin actually means I am LESS likely to buy it. The mini is eccentric and mixed genre enough to be useful for the sporadic Shadowrun game I'm in (and yes, I'd at least paint leggings on her), but resin makes her more of a display piece. The shin armor is now necessary to keep her from snapping off at the ankles, and my group is fumble-fingered enough that resin parts like the arms wouldn't survive long.

So, no thanks CMON.

Old Bear04 Feb 2011 10:52 a.m. PST

How about you understand the difference between the two subjects. There is only one taboo subject in my life and it is the abuse of children. I play Nazis on occasion in games. I've shot civilians and committed mudersous battlefield atrocities with everything from the SS to the Mongols.

Your flippant last line is pretty much uncalled for. Nothing more to say on this. You like this sort of thing – good for you. It doesn't make you cool.
