Nice looking sculpts for fantasy figs, but a couple of questions:

What is 32mm scale? Is it, like, really HEROIC 28mm (32mm to top of head)? Or is that 32mm to eyes?

And then there's this:
"And with the modular interchangeability of the HelsVakt hordesmen, you could build an entire army of HelsVakt – as between their total parts, there are approximately 200 different combinations possible!"

Does this mean that the figures are multi-part (weapons, arms, heads, torso, legs separate) or that you can combine figures into units to make different combinations?

The website didn't really seem to provide much more info on either of those questions--but maybe I didn't look in the right spot?

Yes.It's tough to find, but if you use the previous/next buttons you'll eventually find the HelsVakt Horde figs and it shows them with separate parts as above.

Or if you click on the big box at the top of the page. Nice idea, but it wasn't easy to find.

Absolutely stunning models, though!

Hi guys,

The Scale is 32 mm to the top of the head. Yrsa is more like 30 mm to the top of her " head " and about 34 to the top of her hair ;)

Teh HelsVakt are meant to be a little bit bigger than that the typical human, in that way of hulking barbarians, but they are still 32 mm scale. They are built on a 34 mm tall armature and then posed down to around 30 mm tall. I use GW and rackham figures as scale reference while making all of my figures, so my stuff treads teh middle ground between teh two. Beefier than Rackham, finer than GW. I will post up some scale comparison shots when I recieve teh metals.

Also the HelsVakt hordesmen are built with interchangable parts. They are divided into five separate parts, Head/ helm, weapon, shield, torso, and legs. I paid very very special attention to making the various parts fit together seamlessly and very very easily. Basically each of the components either have a male or female fitting. The torso " plugs " into a deep cup in the lower body. The helms have deep cups which allow them to be fitted over the neck. The weapon hands have sockets into which a weapon shaft can be " plugged " in, and the shield arm ends in a plug which can be fitted into a deep cup in the shield hand.

These fittings also allow for a great deal of posability as well. Teh way in which these figures are made allows you to tilt and turn the torso in the waist cup, the helms can also be tilted and to a lesser degree turned ( with minimal effort one could increase teh range of turn on the helm by resculpting the neck muscles to line up with the turn properly.

I hope that helps.

Tre – GREAT looking minis. I plan to buy a lot when able. Just a little constructive criticism. The website is a bit confusing to navigate. It may just be me. In any case, good luck with RBG!
