My friend's father and uncle served in the same Morris C9/B with 40mm Bofors unit during WWI in France 1944-45. They had some very strange experiences while serving in the unit. I remember one story they told about a Tiger tank that came out of the woods next to where they had setup -- they took out the tank at a range of less than 100 ft with their 40mm Bofors. They pumped way too many rounds into it due to the sudden shock and fear that took over. It took them a while to calm down again after it was over. A number of the crew were visibly shaking afterward. |

That looks so cool. Any plans on doing variants of German trucks with guns on them? |

Very nifty looking vehicle. Dumb question – what are the truncated conical bits on the front fenders that look like upside down buckets? They sort of look like canted headlights. Doug |

GreyONE: That's an amazing story. I think, if I had been there, I would have needed to change my pants afterwards
. Well done gentlemen! |

elsyrsyn, those are the buckets the crew need for after a Tiger tank has popped out the woods less than 100 feet away!! |

elsyrsyn, those are the buckets the crew need for after a Tiger tank has popped out the woods less than 100 feet away!! Makes sense. Then that must be a great big scrub-brush on the right rear fender. Doug |

@elsyrsyn: THey go under the outriggers when de[ployed to give the gun a stable firing platform. @GreyONE: Fab story! Do you know any further details? Would love to hear more
