Nice looking toys. Everyone should click on the link to the wargame pictures on his website. Now that's quite a game! |

I will be very annoyed if a 54mm toy soldier comes out with a dismounted Lee's Legion figure or range before a 28mm manufacturer does! They look great! |
John the OFM | 05 Jan 2009 11:12 a.m. PST |
Heck, their prices are comparable with FOUNDRY, and they are 54mm! |

Thanks for the kind words, gentlemen! John, just last night I was working on various dismounted cavalry figures -- British and Continental of various kinds, including Lee's Legion (pre-1780 uniform). Ken Cliffe ATKM |

Ken: I think that if you had Lee's Legion, you would gain a convert in John the OFM. Any plans to make South Carolina state troops in leather jockey helmet? |
| allthekingsmen | 05 Jan 2009 12:09 p.m. PST |
We have troops that are very close to SC state troops, shown here: tinyurl.com/9prs9e The front of their cap could be painted over as is or smoothed a little and a crescent painted on. The figures also have a feather on the cap, which might suit some SC units or be removed for others. These figures are available as skirmisher or regular infantry units. Hope that helps! Ken |

Great figures! I gotta figure out what I need to pick up. Let's see
..Jagers, Highlanders, Cavalry and some Continental LI would be a good start. Thanks, John |

I want to jump in with both feet but I just cant right now with money so tight. ATKM is one my list for 2009. |

The horses for the cav are just brilliant, the castings are very nice and as John pointed out they are actually less expensive then many 25/28's. Ken has a very nice product here, this is one of my two projects for 2009. |

I only found out about ATKM very recently. Coincedentally, I have started buying 54mm 1/32 scale AWI figs. This line has all the Cavalry pretty much covered. Highlanders and other non line infantry are harder to find in plastic. So, ATKM to the rescue! I just wish I could buy in units of 10 rather than 14 or 8. Thanks, John |

Ken, You gotta try for a big game (with the big figures) at Historicon. We can all bring our troops. The day of the 54 has arrived Bill |
| allthekingsmen | 06 Jan 2009 7:33 a.m. PST |
Hey, Bill! There will be a few 54mm ATKM games going on at Cold Wars in March. We run demo games all weekend long right at the booth. Plus, a great supporter named Bob Lehman is running a daytime game Saturday. Beyond that, there might be a pick-up game Sat night if we can get a table. I don't know if any seats will be available for that one. Historicon will get much the same. Ken |

More reason to go to one of these shows! Thanks, John |

Do you use individual bases for the figures, or put multiple figures on one stand, or use movement trays, for bigger games? |
| allthekingsmen | 07 Jan 2009 11:08 a.m. PST |
Hey, Fritz! The self-titled "All the King's Men" rules call for individually based figures in a classic-style wargame. They can certainly be based on multiple stands, however. I have done that with other 54mm-focused rule sets. You can see a combination of both on that wargame page linked in the news article. Movement trays would work fine for the ATKM rules. I confess I'm not a fan of them, though. They always seem visually obtrusive on the table versus the terrain bases of the figures themselves. Ken |
