Not only good for Weird WW2 games, but can also be zombie reenactors for modern games!

These look great Mike. I'm sure all those WWWII FoW players will be rejoycing at the news! I really like that these have guns so they have a little more potential if you want them for more than just hand to hand troops.

Great stuff!

How about some non-zombie WWII?! I would love to see/buy those.

You can't find any 15mm WWII you like? Seriously? I'd rather see mike continue on stuff that hasn't been done. (Or done too much anyway…)

Not such a big fan of the guns. Zeds don't use guns!

Not to mention us 'Gear Krieg' and 'Incursion' unsavory rapscallions!!

{ Rejoice! }

Yeah the guns are a turn off for me too. Lots of clipping and snipping to get rid of them.

Pictors Studio19 Mar 2010 11:13 p.m. PST

I like the guns, it isn't like the zombies would necessarily be using them but they might be stuck carrying them and still be doing so out of habit/rigormortis.

Ah, the guns. Here are some of my thoughts. None of the zombies are shooting the weapons, they are just carrying them out habit like Pictors has mentioned. Why is this a far stretch considering some current zombie movies have the Zeds running, leaping over cars, crashing through windows an a host of other things?
Also, the weapons are a great way to tell the nationality of the Zeds.
And finally, to quote Miracle Max in the Princess Bride: "It just so happens that your Zed here is only MOSTLY dead. There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Mostly dead is slightly alive." :)

Let's not muddy the waters on the dead thing. Dead is dead.

"What is dead can never die, but rises again, harder and stronger."

Could not help myself – tells you what audio-book is currently making my drive to work bearable.

My thoughts are that as Mike said, you can use these guys for zombies that are traditional (staggering reanimated corpses)that are still dragging around the guns or in my opinion you also have the opportunity to use them as other forms of undead or reanimated troops that can still use weapons. Lots of pulp and scifi with weird reanimated troops carrying guns, especially in video games and such. The cool aspect of the new zombies is that they have a lot more diversity for the gamer to chose how to use them. I know we all will never agree on everything, but seems to me more options and uses is better that being overly limited. To each their own! grin

"That is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange aeons even death may die"

"Yeah, their dead. They're all messed up."

I don't see what the problem is with dead, zombie soldiers carrying their guns. Is it written somewhere in the zombie rule book that they have to put them down before they re-animate?

These miniatures are perfect for many settings, and I love the guns, which IMO makes for a new type of Zed game.
Cheers Rebel Minis!

I Will have to get some of these as I have the Nazi ones already and they are really nice sculpts.

As regards zombies with guns it would depend on what exactly the Regen process is in Warzone the Sc-fi game the regenerated soldiers still retain some of there knowledge and can use rifles etc when controlled by a controller when no controller was near by they just stand there dumb waiting for orders.

Another Regen might have some kind of chip embodied into live units to make them a bit zombified so they ignore damage until they become incapacitated due to the injury's they to have to be controlled but controllers.

Just an idea so they can be used with the guns (they'd be crap shots but the volume of fire will keep units heads down while the live troops get in better positions).
