Holy smokes I thought those were 54mm at first…

Tom deserves that nomination. Great stuff.

Eh…I don't just love these. I think the Hound looks nice (though I don't care for the helmet) and Jon Snow looks pretty good as well as the women, but the rest of the men don't look very….manly…and yes I have read the books I am just saying I was somewhat dissapointed in these. For me it's a style thing though, I acknowledge they are very proffessionally done, they just don't work for me. Which I assume is bound to happen when you put any characters from a book in metal. They look too…romantic or something.

I think it is an excellent series, although I find (so far) that the named characters are more interesting sculpts than the un-named Night's Watch fellows.

Beautifully sculpted figures, but everyone looks a bit too Southern Californian to me. I've never read the books. Are they set in Beverly Hills?

The female figure in the first image is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! She looks haughty and happy all at the same time. Simply stunning work.

I would have to agree. They are fantastic.

I hate these figures. I painted one for a painting contest and hated it so much that I painted the whole thing in shades of Snakebite Leather and the skin metallic gold.

Actually, I spoke too soon. Some of the models look quite good, but I immensely disliked what I saw in the initial wave of releases.

The idea of Bean losing his temper with a miniature is making me laugh like a chimp!

"Think yer detailed, do ya? (SPLATCH!) Well who's the daddy now?!"

Personally, I think these are just stunning. There's a barbarian in the coils of a serpent on their site that I have to buy.
I'd agree with Steve's idea of their origin, though… everybody looks blow-dried, corn-fed, exfoliated and moisturised.

They look like they should be airbrushed on the side of a van. Welcome to the LOVE-MOBILE!

Faboo!

I assume that some of you are indirectly aiming your criticisms primarily to the blond characters. I think they are supposed to look like that, since they come from the pampered gentry class. They contrast nicely, I think, with the watchmen in black, who don't look "corn-fed" and "blow-dried" at all…in my opinion. Still, I am not saying this to invalidate your critiques; we are all entitled to our own opinions. I for one think they are fantastic. Go TM and DS!!

These are some of my favorite miniatures! I love all of them! I am really looking forward to the rest. Also, I really like they they are in a 32mm scale!

nycjadie12 May 2008 9:04 p.m. PST

My only complaint is the price. I think they're around $10 USD each.

cloudcaptain12 May 2008 10:03 p.m. PST

They aren't too bad if you buy them from a discounter. I get mine from superherogameland.com. Roughly 33% off. The Elmore Dragons are a MUST have.

Dances With Words Fezian13 May 2008 2:47 a.m. PST

I'm not usually into fantasy/historical…but those are some AWESOME sculpts…(and the paintjobs are LIGHT-YEARS ahead of anything I could ever hope to do!)…

While I might not buy the entire line, these figures are 'purty enuff' that some are worth getting just to 'show off' and demonstrate to NON-gaming/collecting friends…that miniatures/gaming is really an 'art-form' in itself! As to the prices…well, I've certainly paid MORE for a lot less, (besides two ex-wives that is!)…and they have some really choice figs!

*slish!

Great looking figures.
Shame I have no use for them.
