British rifle sections are 10 men, not 8.

FOW isn't necessarily 1:1 in infantry basing. For Americans it has 8 miniatures in a squad when there should be 12.

They used to use 12 for US rifle squads before, since they went the plastic route their numbers are based on what plastic fits inside a box which is unfortunate. I preferred their metal stuff and am glad I bought my stuff in their metal era.

You can still buy the metal blisters, direct only. I do prefer the old metals myself.

Why would a company have only two platoons when they had three?

Because that is what will fit in the box at that price point.

One of the reasons I bought their figs was to get a proper unit in one pack. Luckily I have enough infantry in metal.

I really loathe the plastic though I honestly don't know why.

because then they can sell you two boxes?

GGouveia30 May 2020 9:36 a.m. PST

That's insane, you can't even buy a rifle platoon in metal from them anymore so to field a 3 platoon company with each section with only 8 men will cost you $90 USD USD as you would need 2 boxes???? I can see why more people are going the Peter Pig route. Glad I bought a metal company box years ago.
