Those look very effective.

As I have already said… They are a superb product and amazing value.

Here is another shot from a distance showing how well they blend in. It also gives you a sense of size as the table is 6 x 8. This set up used two of the 20mm-30mm field packs.

Those look really great.

As for the field widths, looks like they are best for 6mm – 20mm figs.

A person should be able to walk down a furrow, without touching the raised, green sections, during early plant growth.

Yes, those do look great !!!

Nice!!

Can we buy larger fields? I don't want the smaller sizes since I'm playing 25mm games and want at least 18" x 18" or larger.

Be ready to wait a long while after you place an order.

These look great. Why the long wait remark?

I can make these, but give me a month or two to get the artwork/equipment ready. How about a single field measuring: 21x14 inches? Or larger?

That size would be fine. How do we go about ordering and pricing? Should we email you through your site?

This would be a pre-order, and would require us to create a PayPal Invoice. I can set up a pre-order section for this product to take order -- I can have it up and running later this evening.

Not only do they look good, but the quality and durability are excellent. They have a nice "heft" to them without being overly heavy, but are very secure on the table top; no curling at the edges for sure. Best, Dean

Are we talking strictly about the dimensions only of the pieces being enlarged or of the scale width of the furrows as well (ie more in line with 25mm-28mm figures?

For my part I'd be interested in both the pieces being offered now for my 15mm 20th century terrain and a larger scale and dimensions for my 28mm terrain.

It sounds from your quote "get the artwork/equipment ready" above that would be the case?

Cheers,

Anything i have ordered from eric has taken an extra month or more to be delivered. The last order I placed in January, with an agreed upon delivery of early April. I got the item late May after the game I needed it was over. And it looked like a rush job.

Also, read the boards and you will see that it can take a while to get items delivered. That is the main reason I ordered so far in advance. Still did not help.

I'm glad all of you have had great delivery times. That is just not the norm from Hotz

I waited over 6 months before I got my money back on three game mats that I ordered. He said he was still going to send the mats regardless. I am still waiting. This was back in March of 08.

avidgamer26 Jun 2012 12:33 p.m. PST

Hmmmm… sounds like a customer service problem?

Gunbird26 Jun 2012 12:53 p.m. PST

My orders for the last year or so all arrived within one month of ordering.

Teboj17, 2008, 45thdiv, date unknown. Sounds to me like these days Hotz mats does have their stuff together, maybe time to lose the bitterness before starting to post warnings?

teboj1726 Jun 2012 1:12 p.m. PST

Gunbird, No bitterness here. Just relating on how someone said they were going to do something and they never did. Just wanted to make fellow gamers aware of some issues with this company.

Also there are still some recent issues with his service:

I had to wait a while when I ordered a mat, but I got it. Real life makes running a business on the side very difficult. And this hobby isn't big enough for very many full-time businesses.

Wulfgar26 Jun 2012 3:42 p.m. PST

My own experience ordering from Erik is that his service was excellent. For something special I'm willing to wait a month or even six weeks with the full understanding that a lot of the pieces are being made to order.

My last order consisted of two sizes of river/stream sets. Four weeks to my mailbox. Excellent quality. Far less cost than any of his competition. Easy to store and maintain. No issues.

I've had some delivery problems with a few suppliers. Sometimes the fault was theirs. . sometimes it was mine! Either way, my life didn't end. Erik is one of those guys who will do what it takes to make it right.

Erik, I'm looking forward to ordering some of these fields as soon as my change of residence is complete at the end of July. Thanks for the awesome products!

Always had good service (so good I just endorsed as a trusted trader on TMP), these look excellent.

Well there is room for full-time businesses, but they have to put up with everyone whining about them controlling the industry and charging too much to have readily available product sitting on the shelves of almost every game story in the English speaking world. And have enough support structure to continually put out new products and ship stuff that is at your door within days.

I hope Hotzatz is doing better as I just ordered two river sets yesteray. I'll report when I get them.

I have ordered at lest four matts from Eric and never had a delay in shipping.

Damn it Eric. Now I have to place an order!

Tim White Supporting Member of TMP26 Jun 2012 9:41 p.m. PST

I have 3 matts from eric – no problem on quality or time. The last one he actually delivered personally, but I suspect geography had a strong role to play in that one ;-)
