I've been looking forward to Mutineer's releases. I still want to see a size comparison shot next to Foundry.

Very nice figures, indeed.

Yes, comparison is needed. I suppose I could just toss out my Foundry collection and re-do with these guys but that is expensive! I would like to add some of the new figs. We know the new ones will be bigger than Foundry, but how much bigger???

I also have Old Glory, so a view of all three would be great.

I agree, a size comparison shot is clearly needed here.

Will these figures be available at the Warfare show in Reading this weekend?

You rock, bjbhoy! Looks like they would go well on the tabletop together, but I would (and will) keep them in separate units. YMMV.
Is Warfare still held at the facility by the bus station? Brings back fond memories!

Although much more in line with current top sculpting styles, they definitely seem to be compatible with the now, 'very much showing their age', Foundry range.

Looking forward to more releases, especially personality figures, cavalry, casualties and equipment.

PS Will you be doing marching figures for each of the uniform variants?

Congratulations on getting your figures out and hope you do well at Reading.

I am slightly curious as to how Mutineer Miniatures will fare financially. Obviously the Mutiny is somewhat of a niche period to game and isn't one, like Napoleonics, that necessarily impells people to buy lots and lots of figures. Added to that lots of people are feeling the pinch at the moment finacially and are scaling back their hobby spending.

None of which is a gripe and I wish you all the best – I'm just wondering about the viability of small, niche market figure companies at the moment.

isn't the whole of miniature gaming a small niche market now? :D

Time to dig out my store of Foundry and add to it with these new figures.

legatushedlius17 Nov 2009 12:27 p.m. PST

My figures arrived today and they are truly lovely. Foot to eye 27mm. These chaps actually look Victorian.

Thanks bjbhoy for quickly putting up the comparison photo.

I look forward to picking up some packs from you at Reading this coming weekend. Drive carefully now.

These look great. If this range expands as planned I think it will take over from Foundry as THE mutiny range for 28mm collectors.

A new range of IM figures is very welcome and will no doubt result in some resurgence in the period. I see the Mutineer Miniatures range as complimentary to the Foundry and Old Glory range rtaher than a direct replacement. There are too many great Foundry figures and set pieces in their range to ever be effectively replaced.

At last weekend's TARGE show there were two IM games. The SESWC club won best participation game for their Storming the Dilkusha game and the Iron Brigade won runner up in the Display game category for the Siege of Hapibutpur.
This period is alive and well!

I witnesed both of these games and they were great. I was bowled over by the Seige of Hapibutpur game, 'twas most excellent.

Cheers,

Darrell.

ElCid – whilst I like the Foundry range, I reckon the Old Glory ones are pretty good too, I've painted hundreds of them.
