Looks nice, but where would one go to find a printer (plotter) that could handle it? Kinko, Office Depot, etc?

Any idea what it would cost to have printed?

And does Copy Max even have vinyl? Or fabric?

You can bring your own materials to most printing outlets. I'd check in the local yellow pages for a printing company and see what they'd charge.

In Australia at least you should be able to get PVC/Vinyl prints done at Officeworks. Surely there will be some local equivalent for foreign Johnnies.

Sign companies are also definitely a place to check out. Many countries have ones where you can provide the file and they ship it to you if you don't have a vinyl sign printer close enough to you.

Could this be used for making wargame rivers as well??

This is so cool.

I would do the fabric printing thing. Last I looked it was $15 USD-20 per yard depending on the weight of the canvas.

But this is so good looking you run the risk of a mat that looks better than the miniatures. So cool.

What would be the cost for a 4X6 sheet with either 2" or 1 and 1/2" hexes?
That's a nice looking piece of water.

I've printed a star map at 9x5 on vinyl from an online banner company. It looks great and is very thick, plus cheap. Sorry I can't remember which company, but that size was around $65 USD I think.

Microbiggie… no cost. STEVE.. find out who that was.. I've been doing this for over 10 years and all the companies I have worked with are out of business; vista print is the only one left that does vinyl but only 2.5 x 8 feet max.

BTW if anyone wants to know the Cigarbox battle mat guys cant get grids to print from their press without distortion e.g. 3 in hex comes out 2.x hexes; so there's "shrinkage." :)

Companies doing PVC seems to be easy to find but who does fabric in the US?

Norrins24 Oct 2014 3:39 a.m. PST

For those in the UK, try bannerprintingandroid.co.uk

I got a 5 x 3 PVC banner done for £25.00 GBP plus free P&P.
