quidveritas07 Jun 2011 3:12 p.m. PST

I really like Blue Moon figs. These are great!

Pity they don't make stuff that I play with.

Eli Arndt07 Jun 2011 3:17 p.m. PST

OMG! This is cool! So many options here.

Hope we will see some north African figures too.

I'm with Bede. I recall reading that the Napoleonics would be available early this year and here we are halfway through and no sign of them.

Sweet.

doug redshirt07 Jun 2011 5:39 p.m. PST

I see Zulus and Azande, nice. If we get some Arab slavers and some Askari for the Congo, it will be a pretty good start. Any chance of getting British and French Colonial forces too?

kallman07 Jun 2011 5:54 p.m. PST

Holly farfengruven! Dang it now I will have to do colonial in two scales. These are sweet! We need 15mm steamers and river launches to go with them as well. To add to doug red's list we need Colonial Germans, Belgians, and some porters.

Dragon Gunner07 Jun 2011 5:58 p.m. PST

Yes!

These look great! I see that Rebel has porters now, and Egyptian diggers, in case you missed them.

genew4907 Jun 2011 9:09 p.m. PST

Old Glory 15mm Colonial ships. Some of the Civil War steamers and launches may work as well.Blue Moon released several ships as part of their Pirate range so perhaps they will do the same for Deep Dark Africa.

Some time ago Teresa told me that their Napoleonic ranges will be available for Historicon: I am eager to see the first greens.

GeorgethePug08 Jun 2011 5:32 a.m. PST

Could be used for any sort of tribals, really. I was thinking Lost World / Skartaris kinda stuff.

kyoteblue08 Jun 2011 10:29 a.m. PST

Or Sword and the Flame !!!!

The whole point of the range is not "colonials" per se, but is intended to be a fantasy quasi historical Tarzan type range. Much more is in the works.

As far as the Napoleonics? As I have mentioned in earlier threads I have slightly set the schedule back on them to get the much smaller Africa and horror ranges done -- a very short set back as we will be showing some of the first Napoleonic samples in the next few weeks. --Not to be dismayed -- after historicon we will put the total full court press on finishing the ACW and plowing through the Nappies until they are done.

How soon do you think the 15mm Darkest Africa range will be released? I have been holding off on placing an order.

Thanks,

John

We will have alot for historicon. Tarzan characters, porters, pygmies, chieftans and witch doctors, villagers, prisoners, adventurers, missionaries, explorers.
More later such as wild beasts, several types of villages, and things for the Congo.

I need more jungle terrain. Already planning how to torture my eager explorers, traders and adventurers as they explore the world.

Are there any rules out there besides The Sword and The Flame- Darkest Africa?

That rocks! I'll finally make my dream game settings come true:

I will use some of these guys, after beheading, as 28mm "Children of Y'Golonac" !
But I'll need them in eight weeks or so.
Hope they are available early enough that I can paint them up in time.

Russ,

Don't forget about La of Opar and her warriors:
