I've just spent a few days in Rye on the British South east coast and these structures make me think very much of that small town so they are, of course, useful right up to the present day. Nice detailed models and a cracking paint job. John T |

I'm just dying to see the heraldry on the 2mm medieval figures to go with them… Henry MWBG |

Handy for scenery to accompany my medieval naval models :) |

Lovely looking set, and the market hall is a nice centrepiece for it. Just add one of your churches and you're away. :-) |

Very nice. I am going to have to get a couple sets. I am not a historian of architecture and did not realize that buildings in the medieval period were that sophisticated. |

Question: Would these be the right size for Dystopian Wars naval fleets? |

We've certainly been using the later ones for Dystopian Wars, e.g. the Atlantic Wall sets. |

I forget, do I use 2mm with my 1/600 or 3mm???? |

@John – most of the original buildings I based them on are from Faversham and Canterbury, so not far away from Rye ! The Guildhall is in Faversham market square (although I have got the colour wrong – the real one is a much paler shade). @Murphy – yes, perfect. They were originally designed for Land Ironclads/Aeronef which is the same scale. @jdpintex – 2mm is 1/900th. These buildings are designed to 1/1000th scale because it makes the maths easy but work fine for anything from 3mm to 1/1200th. I use them as ground scenery for both 1/600th aircraft and 1/1200th Aeronef. @David – see you at Blast-tastic! for a set then ? |
