Signed up. My favorite colonial period. Just starting in it. |

I've signed on too, but I don't think there will be much additional discussion beyond the Colonial Wars group. Of course German colonial players have their own group for SW Africa so why not one for the NWF too? |

Seems pointless to me. 2000 members of the colonialwars list would be glad to see, and possibly discuss, any NWF topics which this narrow splinter group might bring up. You won't find me joining, but thanks for the invitation. |

Joined. I have never bought the "We aklready have another group" argument. New groups lead to new discussions. |

Just like new boards on TMP John! I agree that a break out group can be good. Colonial wars group has at times too many postings and it is hard to follow. I have been on it for years but only visit from time to time as there is too much traffic. VR James Mattes |

That's why I joined, James. I get lost in the discussions. Being a newbie doesn't help either. |

Thanks for the comments guys. I have been a longtime member of the Colonial Wars Group and would never seek to decry the help I have received from other members there on all issues colonial. However, one can get swamped by e-mails at times, hence my reasoning fro forming this group. Most certainly, I will not be leaving Colonial Wars as it covers other colonial conflicts in which I have an interest. However, the NW Frontier is my passion/obsession (delete as applicable!) |

>>>I have been a longtime member of the Colonial Wars Group<<< Me too, one question though, why does the sign-in page at Yahoo keep trying to auto-reload
several times? _Not_, of course , your fault Alan. However, Firefox (/3.6) keeps getting upset, asks me whether to "Allow" or not. My bank's internet banking site has been doing the same thing (Reloading) for a couple of years. I was advised some time ago by their internet person to go ahead and "Allow", not to worry. Thing is the Reload is always, both with Yahoo today (other sites) and my bank's website, to the exact same URL. Why reload to the _same_ URL? The Internet person said she had no idea "Probably a problem with Firefox
". Anyone dealt with this? Redirecting is supposed to be a ploy for fraud, but is a Reload different and why is it necessary when one is already at the URL? BTW, thanks for the NWF group Alan. |

Like all contemporary media it's a balancing act between fragmenting the audience and reducing the nois/signal ratio for the consumer. I've already posted to the group. Looking forward to tomorrow's digest with my morning email! Give me a some time and I'll post pictures too! |
