Is that really how much it is? Yikes.

I'd have preferred a 15mm version that included an HK aerial and a couple tanks for the Skynet side and some heavy weapons and a couple post-apoc-looking vehicles for the Resistance.

The problem with 15mm is that it really isn't going to capture as many casual gamers, which is the intent of this game.

I understand that Flames of War is massively popular, but I digress.

When the intention is to get a 28mm miniature based on Arnold Schwarzenegger on the field, 15mm won't cut it.

Yup. They have broken the $100 USD ceiling. And this is for unpainted miniatures too. I think a better approach might have been to offer a smaller package in the $69 USD range and offer upgrades, which seems to be working well for other miniature game companies.

What ceiling? There are plenty of starter sets out there over $100 USD with unpainted minis.

Not sure about US prices for Warlord figures, but roughly £25.00 GBP of figures, £20.00 GBP to £30.00 GBP for the rules leaves £15.00 GBP to £25.00 GBP for the play mat, quick play rules, card terrain and dice. Not too bad I suppose, though I would have preferred to buy the figures and rules only as I have terrain and plenty of dice.

That said the terminators are nice, and top half clips to the bottom so they twist at the waist – thanks for the free ones at Salute!
