How: Pumice stone. That's what the Romans did. They're still sold for this purpose.

Flint is quite sharp enough to shave with – needs a skilled knapper to get an edge that is straight enough to work well but it is possible. Not quite up to the standards of a metal razor but it does the job.

They didn't have hair conditioner & bras either but that never bothered Hollywood.
