"Now Stealing Your Cattle & Setting Fire to Your Roof!"

A family tradition since circa 760 A.D.!

Would this be suitable for the like of Beowulf: any provision for monsters such as Grendel?

any provision for monsters such as Grendel?

Nope. For now it's strictly a historical game, without elves, dwarves, draugr or trolls.

Monsters (as the Norse knew them) will be in the next book. (which will probably not be called "Battle Troll 2: Electric Bugaloo", but you never know…).

BT2: EB will also have rules for visiting far-flung parts of the world, like Britain, France, Russia and (for you Richard Widmark fans) North Africa, with the "Mare of Steel!".

Rules for sailing a ship on these far-flung journies will be included.

Looks like a fun excuse to collect some viking figures… as if anyone needs an excuse for that.

Thanks for the clarification: it's just that the name of the rules did suggest monsters were involved. Will BT2 be stand alone or a supplement?

The name 'Battle-Troll' comes from the named axe of Skarp-Hedin, son of Njal. It got him into a lot of trouble he was probably going to get into, anyway.

BT2 (Electric Bugaloo, as Roderick insists) will be a follow on supplement.

MJS, thanks for the clarification.
