Awesome. And what to do with all those lovely spare parts? Perhaps some RHA drivers? I can't wait.

Musketier30 Jun 2015 12:23 p.m. PST

Spot on, m'lud! Henceforth, each troop of RHA shall have its trumpeter, and perhaps even horseholders?

Where did Lt Dragoons see meaningful action in that tropical helmet – India?

As beautiful as they are (and they really are lovely) I'm going to have to pass as I've got six boxes of French to paint before I can even consider the Brits….. though I am going to indulge in a bit of Peninsular fun so I may yet be eating my words :>)

Congratulations on another brilliant set..
Perry plastics just seem to get better & better..

Fingers crossed for more Napoleonic casualties sets and commanders (in metal) particularly for Brits, Russians & Austrians.

Finally, please Alan, more of those delicious vignettes..

DeltaBravo- the Light Dragoons wore the helmet in South Africa, the West Indies, and in India.

I'm going to indulge (soonish I hope :) for my heroes in India games (Sharp TFL games) I need a troop of gallant light dragoons to save/lose the day :)
Cheers and good one the Perry lads.

Thanks Grant.

Zargon, what figure sources are you using for the gallant heroes and dastardly foe? Quite tempted by some Sharpe inspired India-based skirmishes.

DB, its a mix and mash to be honest I don't go for a historical push with these type of projects/games, so my Mogul types are made up of Foundry Sikhs and Indian the darkest Africa Arab mercs and a bunch of Perry Arabic types. The Brits are Victrex Scots and lights (the metal heads) I plan to get some of the Perrys ACW to do some "Sharps Tigers" with head swaps using a lose potted history of the actual Sharps books and mixing it into the 2FL campaign setup. A fun long term project for myself your welcome to the idea. As for actual uniform sources mainly googled and a few Osprey etc plates, can't wait to do tiger stripes on a yellow coat unit and another in lilac with check stripes :) nowadays trying to do what I can in plastics, just to see if it can be done basically. The fun of making the actual characters is most enjoyable, I buy a lot of head swops from companies like Redoubt for these.
Cheers and happy gaming
