That is some great looking architecture.

Yes it is and I pre-ordered mine yesterday. Now how about a train for it.

The track looks nice but it would help to know the gauge [i.e., standard, broad, narrow] and scale [i.e., O, S, HO] of the track sections or the distance between the rails. Just saying "28mm scale" doesn't help a bit since that is not a true scale.

I don't believe that it is HO because the figures would be giants compared to that size track.

Wow! Beautiful piece!

I really enjoy the 4Ground models. Fun to build!

It is a standard between S(1/64) and O(1/48), generally estimated at 1/58. Are you wanting a working model railroad or a wild west miniatures skirmish?

Saw this at Northstar, very impressed with it and sure it will grace many a table.
If you want a Steam train to go with this you might be better getting proper track to go with your model and not MDF.
But the MDF track supplied is in scale with the buildings.

It's a nice looking building, but doesn't look like any (old west) train station I've ever seen. To me, it looks like a town hall. Maybe a Doc Brown figure to go with it?

Bob Runnicles30 Nov 2015 12:06 p.m. PST

I assume the platform is at the back, and we are seeing the front of the station from the picture. In that case it looks fine to me :)

Outside of very large cities, few towns would have a two-story depot. And most railroads used standardized plans.

Would have preferred something like this:

Its a very cool looking building, as I have come to expect from 4Ground, but I have to agree with some of the others. Its really too large and complex for the sort of small western town I use for my Wild West games.

Great!
I can really see the intial sequence of "Once Upon a Time in the West" here.
