Then don't use them. Wow, what a simple solution :-) |

Do you need a whole army for these rules? Obviously so

Gawd, I hate points! So which school are you in? a) I only fight historical battles. Ones where my side won of course b) I put every model you own on the table. Must paint more so I can beat my opponent! c) let's have a battle, my elite division vs your conscript division. That's fair isn't it? |

The points system in SAGA is really clever, you only get 6 pts to spend, yet you still get loads of choice to pick your army. |

I hate points too and find them to in case of sci-fi, the biggest source of fluffrape and in historical, force units to be grouped or armed a certain way they might not have actually been. |

I try to put together plausable, historical OBs. I love the limit on AFVs. Arty is off table and called in by obs team. Like any rules you can torture it. At the platoon/company vs platoon/company level, it is hard to claim that any combination "never happened." Armor should be balanced by other armor or AT guns. Overall it is a good skirmish level set |

Ummm
I tried ordering this for $283.00 USD, which allows me free shipping, but my Grand Total keeps coming up $339.60 USD
!!! Also, just because you HAVE a force worth X points doesn't mean you have to slavishly field a points-based force. First, make up a breakdown/not-fit-for duty table based on nationality, theatre, troop quality and period of the war. Then, you and your opponent agree to play a 2,000 point game, establishing objectives, etc. Then, roll on the table(s) you created to see how many men/vehicles of your total force are actually available for use in the battle. I almost never use points any more, ESPECIALLY not in science fiction games, whether space fleets or ground battles. Points are silly. |

Hi Dasher, Sorry about that – with the website issues we had just before Christmas we forgot to remove the VAT option from this deal. All sorted now so feel free to pick this deal up at the correct price! Cheers, Paul warlordgames.com |

Ever heard of fighting scenario based games? Glad you asked! d) I play scenarios. I spend hours designing them, they always favour one side or another, and then they get boring after 2 or 3 run-throughs :-) |
