Great magazine but the "themed" issue thing makes a sub uneconomical for me.

A great shame.

Hi Porkmann
Glad you like the magazine! It's perhaps worth pointing out that the average theme doesn't take more than about 35% of the editorial content. That, and the fact that a year's subscription works out to only GBP 24 at the moment… ;-)

That is very true. However I am perhaps spoiled by subs to other mags where the annual commitment saves you a wee bit more that £2.50 GBP or so 😀

Most likely those magazines are also published in your country of residence. It makes a world of difference for the publishers, I assure you.

Great magazine but the "themed" issue thing makes a sub uneconomical for me.

A great shame.

The new product reviews and game reviews/AARs are pretty nifty and do not follow the themes.

Good mag, and the themes balance out over a year so no biggie to me

Looking forward to receiving my copy! WSS being my favourite wargames mag, shame it's not monthly. Then again I wouldn't want it to become 'diluted'.

One of my resin Gun Bastions and Breastworks Set even made the front cover on the lower left side.

Fame at last lol :-)

The only mag I subscribe too and very happy with the way it is produced.
Keep up the good work.

This issue and theme looks very interesting to me. Any vendor in the states sell this?

AncientWarfare24 Oct 2014 7:35 a.m. PST

If you're willing to wait, very many (many B&N, Books a Million, etc). If you want it faster: any LGS supplied via Warpath, and of course On Military Matters.

Thanks, Ancient Warfare.
