Very interesting and useful article, for larger scales. However I'm using it on 1:285 GHQ microarmor so I just kinda followed my "gut" and eyeballed everything. link and link I use craft paints and have found, at least to my eye, that the following colors match the "official" ones: Portland Stone -- Apple Barrel Sandstone (20575) Light Stone -- Americana Bleached Sand (DA257) Silver Gray -- Americana Slate Green (DA281) Slate -- Americana Grey Sky (DA111) They seem to work well on the smaller scale vehicles. My only challenge is that I'm running very low on the Apple Barrel Sandstone and haven't been able to find any in my local area. Later, Jim |

Jim: nice work. I've used Amazon for purchasing Apple Barrel paints that I can't find in my area. Not inexpensive but your color here: link R'/Joe |

Yeah, our local Michael's stopped carrying Apple Barrel in favour of expanding their own, good-for-terrain only, line and carrying more of the Martha Stewart and weirder FolkArt/Americana stuff. My Apple Barrel stuff is running out too… |

Then of course they use their stupid GW-like proprietary names without equivalent in the more common paint ranges so it is useful to noone besides their dwindling "loyal customers" and I am one of the rare who actually enjoys V4 |
