Looks good! I already have your river, roads and a few other terrain items and the cornfield terrain would be a great addition.

I like the idea of their size for the 25mm+ being at 2 1/4" x 1 1/4" because this is about the size of 60mm x 30mm sized bases, although having an option for 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" (40mm x 40mm) could also be good as well.

I think you're on to a great idea here. I game in both 15mm (1"x1" stands)and 25mm (2"x1" stands) and the base sizes proposed would work well with both. One consideration would be to have another terrain square with the stalks crushed down to provide even more flexibility and a nice visual representation of sections of the field already trampled.

Great looking product. Our bases are 45mm x 40mm. However they rarely are single stands, thus if your base was 90mm or two bases wide it would work well. They could even be 3 bases wide at 120mm. The usual unit being 6 to 12 stands.

I agree with YoungKnight – Crushed stalks would be great as well.

I like the look of these. Do the stalks come out of the bases? Was thinking you could use them as a trampled look after troop have gone through.

They look very nice!

Love all the comments so far and I do like the idea from YoungKnight…crushed stalks will most likely be a part of the product.
As for "Do the stalks come out of the bases?"
No. The bases are FlexTerrain which has quite a thin profile, less than 1/16th of an inch. So having the stalks removeable will mean that they will, with time, not stay in the hole. Removing them was part of the experiments I performed.
Please keep the comments coming folks, I am quite happy with all of them so far. Much appreciate! Cheers and happy gaming.

1)How tall are the 15mm stalks? I'm wondering if I can use them with my 10mm stuff.

2)Have you considered offering mature corn stalks? These would be useful when trying to model fall and winter corn fields.

Stalks are 1" and 2". Mature corn stalks…I'd not thought of that. I'll have to investigate if my supplier carries them. Good idea though…tnx

Joe, thanks for the info. I think crushed stalks will look great. For me, I like the look of the square bases. I game in 28mm AWI and ACW.

Looks good. You've got a purchaser here.

1)What kind of price(s) are you thinking of?
2)Will you be selling individual bases, packs of one sort, mixed packs, or a combination of all options?

Hi "hasbeen" The prices will depend on the content, which I am almost ready to publish. I am waiting for the supplier to give me final prices on shipping.
"Will you be selling individual bases…etc"
Most of Wargamers' Terrain sales are in individual standard products such as the Standard FlexRiver and in custom products. So to answer your set of questions, "Yes".
We will be selling per stand, which I am leaning to be as already described in the article, however, if the customer wants different size stands with different density of stalks(within reason of course), no problem, I just prorate the base price accordingly. As I like to say "Your table top is our priority".
Hope that covers your questions.

cheers

A great idea and I can't add much more to the suggestions made.

If the price is reasonable I will be a buyer.

Hello all:
I just received word from my supplier. So I have a price available. Remember that I can configure just about any shape you want, within reason, and if you wish a custom order, meaning a different shape than what we make, then just email me. Prices are:
A 15 stalk set on a base of 2.25 by 1.75 inches at $7.50 USD
A 6 stalk base of 1 inch by 1.75 inches at $3.00 USD.
There is no difference in price between 1" and 2", much like our FlexStone fences, we received a good price as a bundle.
These are not yet on my webpage, but will be there as soon as I receive my shipment, due latter part of August. However, if you wish to get in the queue, just email me, I will place you in the queue and then bill you when my supply arrives. Note that I normally place most of my terrain in our WGT box, however, for this product I can only do that if your total order (including other products) is 100.00 or more. Otherwise it would not be profitable for me, and my wife would yell at me! ;-) … kidding ok!
Cheers all

Joe
