Spitfire, I keep thinking they re-released the old movie with David Niven about the photo recce pilot in Malta,,,pity it is not.

Maybe the book has some still shots of hm.
A fellow can only hope.

Are you thinking Malta Story with Alec Guiness? I caught that on Netflix recently, but it seems to unfortunately be off it now.

On the Venn diagram of actors and airplanes, First of the Few is Niven/Spitfires. Either way, why did we let these movies teach us that our RAF pilots were a parade of public schoolboys.
