Just bought the set of tiles, including this one. Should make for some easy campaign layouts for ancients, fantasy, and medieval. |

I concur. When GW brought out their plastic tile set I thought it might be a cool way of generating scenarios and/or terrain. Of course it rapidly became apparent that, while nice, they were less useful that I thought and far too expensive to do what I wanted. First off, you had to paint the things! And the hex borders were a little too prominent. And to build any decent sized terrain would require a King's ransom in sets! These, OTOH, come ready done and you can print out what you need. If you were handy with a paint program you might be able to edit them, or even put together your campaign map by matching up the hexes(?) electronically. They seem interested in feedback – I've already suggested "savannah" hexes. Howard |
