That seems like a nice model. I believe that, for its time, it would have been deemed a medium tank, though. With two M13/40s announced on the same day, is there now head-to-head competition between Warlord and Company B? |

Seems to be a bug in their webstore – when I try to buy it, it gives me an A9 Cruiser instead! |

Maybe they both timed their releases for when the 8th Army by Perry came out. Now, lets see some good Africa Corps figures! |

It was a medium tank believe it or not. |

The Italians called it a medium. Everyone else considered it light |

A worthy addition. North Africa campaign it is then. |

A ubiquitous tank in North Africa used by both the Allies and Axis forces. But yes compared to German and Allied kit it was a light tank. Heck, the M3 Stuart had a good fighting chance against one of these. Interesting that Warlord/Bolt Action and Company B both come out with this model at the same time. Regardless I will be getting a couple to add to my 28mm North Africa WW II games. |

"With two M13/40s announced on the same day, is there now head-to-head competition between Warlord and Company B?" "Interesting that Warlord/Bolt Action and Company B both come out with this model at the same time." The gestation of a vehicle model is impossible to predict. The time to build a master, make the molds, test the casting, and produce the bits in production quantities are as variable as the weather. Given the burgeoning interest in WW2 gaming and the attendant notice of the lesser gamed area of North Africa it is only natural that manufacturers would look at the most produced Italian tank of the war. The two offerings are obviously different in their approach and that is good, because each will have appeal to specific segments of the gaming community. If we're not in the Golden Age of miniature gaming, we're awful close and the benefit for all of us is choice and variation. |

The "M" in the designation gives it away: M = Medium. Who cares what other countries called it? |

I find it quite amusing as when I telephoned Warlord a couple of days ago they were unable to give me a release date for this model! |
