Shoulder pads, huh? Is Cthulhu now a Blood Bowl star player? |

Galactic Heroes meets Lovecraft. I like it. |

Cool, but I'm in to 15mm figures. |

Shoulder pads, huh? Is Cthulhu now a Blood Bowl star player? No. Fashion-Forward Great Cthulu is the trendsetter in Rlyeh, and Fashion-Forward Great Cthulu says: the 80's are back. |

Shoulder pads, huh? Is Cthulhu now a Blood Bowl star player? Actually, that's exactly the intent- fantasy football miniatures are Impact!'s primary stock & trade, and a number of the figures in the line come with the option of carrying a football. Good catch. Er

I bet George Atkinson and Phil Vialapiano would appreciate his body of work. |

Nice but as stated above wrong scale. By the way, is Lovecraft's pointing finger too long ? |
timlillig | 06 Jul 2012 11:19 a.m. PST |
It's the giant hands and feet that are stopping me. Maybe they appeal to those who like the recent "attack of the cute" style miniatures. |
John the OFM | 06 Jul 2012 11:33 a.m. PST |
How can the scale for Cthulhu be wrong? |
| Fellspar | 06 Jul 2012 11:37 a.m. PST |
Scale wise the Big C has never been described as a menacing 7' creature. He is a tad larger. Good scale for 6mm. |

It's the giant hands and feet that are stopping me. Maybe it is a baby and like puppies it will grow into its hands and feet (paws). Tim |

While Impact! specializes in fantasy sports figures. We did try to keep the shoulder pads and visible footballs to a minimum on these figures so they could have cross use. The figure scale was made to match the games we support. And I have to agree
I was not aware that there is a correct scale for things like hands when it comes to a Lovecraftian mythos creature. ;) |

Cyoot widdle mohnstahs from beyond time and spayce ! Not for my collection, I'm afraid. |

Impact says they are 'branching out' yet all i see are more fantasy football figs. This makes me sad. |

Not to worry Stephen, you may have missed the four roller derby teams we recently completed, and we have a roller derby star player and referee on the way too. Plus, we have two more projects at the caster that are not related to football in any way. Give us a month. :-) |
Pole Bitwy PL | 06 Jul 2012 12:54 p.m. PST |
OK but why is Lovecraft's finger too long ? Feet also appear too large. Is it also part of the recent "attack of the cute" style miniatures ? |

I am still confused, what are we bidding on? Is it an auction or have I missed the plot? |
essayons7 | 06 Jul 2012 3:47 p.m. PST |
Actually, what you are doing is funding the project, and in return you are getting either a premium or early delivery. Think of it as a pre-order. |
ImpactMiniatures | 06 Jul 2012 4:30 p.m. PST |
That's correct. In exchange for helping fund the cost of production, you get the miniatures at a discount and yours will be the first to ship out. @Pole
I checked the master and the feet on HPL look ok but the finger does appear a tad long. I assume a quick snip will fix that. |

While I love to see new Cthulhu figures hit the market, this one just isn't doing it for me. I could accept the disproportionate arms and hands, but the "Space Marine" shoulder pad is a deal killer. Otherwise nicely done. Some of the other figures on the site are pretty nice, but most of them suffer from the should pad thing, which IMO pretty much eliminates them from use in a serious Lovecraft RPG. |
Andrew May | 08 Jul 2012 4:59 p.m. PST |
They're not how I would have sculpted them but come on, they're clearly not intended to be "serious RPG" figures. There's room for a little light hearted fun in miniature lines. ;) |
| Lead Space | 09 Jul 2012 11:03 p.m. PST |
I agree partly with mdauben but as Andrew said, there is room for light hearted work also :). And these are ment to be players for impacts football game. So that explains the shoulders etc. Cthulhu has big hands and should make a good catcher! |
