Mine as well. On first glance the quality of presentation is top notch. Substance will be assessed later when I have time to actually read it. |

Got mine yesterday. Fantastic presentation. Writing style is easy to read and humerous. Rules appear to be rather fun. |

Not really into the Blackpowdeer era but the rulebook certainly looks nice! |

I just tried downloading the QRS pdf and it will not open as Adobe says it is damaged and beyond repair. G |

My rulebook arrived yesterday and I'm very, very pleased with it. I wish i hadn't wasted my money on Foundry's Napoleon Book which left me pretty underwhelmed
still hindsight and all that
. I've had time to read thru the book (locked in the loo at work – strangely no one missed me??) – first impressions: Nicely presented and well written – but you'd expect that from Mr. Priestly & co. wouldn't you? Lovely pics of figures, units, armies & battles – unlike the Foundry one which has some pretty poorly painted stuff in it – BP has pics to inspire. The content is good. The rules appear pretty clear and straightforward to play. Great idea having some sample games to play out for different wars covered by rules. Especially if you fancy trying a new period to game but didn't know where to start. My only very slight complaint is why put unit sizes for some of the games but not for others? BP itself looks like it makes for an interesting (dare I say – "entertaining"?) game – I've seen a couple of demos run by the P's et al which seemed to go very well (they looked gorgeous – the games i mean – NOT the Perrys) and I'm looking forward to trying them out over the weekend. In fact BP has inspired me to do some Carlist War stuff as I really liked the look of it. Go on buy yourself a set for Xmas! (& don't forget those disco lights)

Gordon, Opened fine for me. Try checking to see if you need to update your version of Adobe |

I also downloaded the QRS easily. |

Lovely presentation by looking at the ranges on the QRS you must need a massive table. I can't see how you could play this on a 6x4. Cheers kieran |

I intend using 15mm on 6X4 and reducing all ranges, etc by 1/3, so 48" artillery range would be 32", etc. |

For 15mm, the rules suggst using cm instead of Inches, I got mine on pre order, the rules look nifty, I like the Warmaster-esque command structure. Am going to try and give it a go with some 15mm Zulus at home shortly. |

Rules designed with 28mm often do that, just as rules designed with 15mm in mind say to double the ranges. If you think about the footprint of 28mm units vs. 15mm units, reducing things by a third or increasing by 50% make more sense. They are marginally harder to calculate, but only need be done once. |
