Will they be easy to convert into waterline models? |

Lluis, The projected series looks very promising. What are the actual dimensions in ‘mm'? Width and from stern to bow? Cheers, Robert |

Looks great! I'd prefer waterline vessels, myself, and would love to see more 17th Century vessels produced. |

From the article: In advance to your possible objections after watching the picture: yes model will be waterline! |

Posting from home (22h now here), so with no factual data at hand: 1) ultimate model will be waterline, 2) unless a memory fail, this one model will be around 13-14 mm long, 3) I'd love this one to be the first model in a wide range: link Cheers, Lluís |

13-14mm long? I'll guess there's a slip of the keys, there… ;) |

Dear Lluis, The article says that the prototype is computer printed but in the text it says that construction will probably be resin and metal. Would it be possible to computer print to 1:1200 scale so the range could be used alongside Navwar and Langton ships of the same period? Cheers, Peter |

@MacrossMartin, you're probably right and I've told you a wrong size. For designing the ship, plans of a Manila Galleon were used; these ships were quite larger than average galleons, their hulls measuring close to 60m from stern to bow. It's easy to realize that my previous assertion was wrong, then --once re-scaled to 1:600, it should be at least 3 or 4 mm smaller than stated before. I was obviously wrong, then *ehem* Re-scaling it down to 1:1200? Well, in theory it is feasible. I should think around it for a while, though --it's a risky decision to start a new range. |

Lluis, I think the size would be 10cms… I mean if the scale is 1:600 (1cm equals 6mts) and the Manila Galleon that serves as template was 60mts length, then the finished model will be 10cms long, approx. Am I right? By the way, count me in to buy at least one! |

Looks promising. Count me in for one once this is released. Any plans for more ships? Spanish and Portugese ships of the 15th and 16th century would be a major incence for me to jump in – imho the major technological development of its time that shaped the rise of Europe. Though a selection of typical late 16th century of various nations for gaming would be fine with me, too. |

Hi all again, I've talked to the model designer so as he's taken a rendering and measured it. This galleon measures close to 8.5 cm from bow to stern, bowsprit apart; if taken bowsprit into account, size increases close to 10 cm. It can be calculated that once masts are finished, model will be around 10 cm tall, too. As for width, it's around 1 cm. Any plans for more ships? This is what I am considering currently: link (plans welcome). For the moment I'm having ind mind 17th & early 18th centuries Mediterranean ships mainly (a period roughly running from 30YW to WSS, or Turco-Venetian War), but I'm completely open to suggestions.
