Those are great. I can imagine holding them in my hand. Good work, especially the paint jobs. |

The Spider has a great look from the art work of the old First Edition Monster Manual |

Not sure we needed 3 mimics, but all of them look keen – keep them coming! With the new edition of DnD, 2014 will be the year of kickin' it old school. |

I really hope they keep this idea going, of bringing the old D&D monsters and characters to 15mm scale. I am loving this scale more and more. |

I expect you will see much more along these lines. David is committed to the project. |

Really awesome, and incredibly painted! |

These definitely have an "old School" D&D vibe! Great stuff! I might have to put my 25mm figs back on the shelf and switch to 15mm! Cory |

Thanks for the comments, everyone. I am definitely planning to go the distance with this line. I will have some lizardmen, frost giants, and a chimera coming out very soon and Sandy is getting ready to start working on a pair of manticore, perytons, leucrotta, displacer beasts, and hippogriffs. Faron is working on some henchmen and then will be doing kobolds, bugbears and classic hobgoblins. I grew up poring over the old monster manuals and wishing I had miniatures of all the critters. Now with my own company I can do it! David splinteredlightminis.com |

This is great news for me. I too am seriously planning on switching over to 15mm for the majority of my games. One needs less space and battles don't end up off the table. It would be awesome to also, in the future, see some Fiend Folio monsters as well. |

Some of these, such as the slimes, look like they could be of use in 25/28mm games as well. I wonder if the dragon is large enough to do fit in with larger scales as well. Does anyone have comparison photos of these? |
Splintered Light Miniatures | 26 Jul 2014 9:27 a.m. PST |
optional field, I think the slimes would definitely work with 25/28mm games. The black dragon is probably a bit small for 25/28mm, though it would certainly work as a younger black dragon and is actually similar in size to some of the prepainted D&D plastics. The red dragon I have would definitely work with 25/28mm and is the same size as a number of the Reaper dragons (not the giant ones).
I will try to post some comparison pictures later this weekend. David splinteredlightminis.com |

Lexthilian, I would love to do much of MM1, MM2, and Fiend Folio. Just need time and money! |

If you ever release a Flumph, we will officially be in the Golden Age of fantasy minis! |
doc mcb | 26 Jul 2014 11:32 a.m. PST |
Indeed, because a flumph would be pretty hard to sculpt, and harder to cast. Hmmm. Would a top-down drawing that one could affix to a flying stand work? Alternately, one could cast a body with appropriate holes and then do legs and antennae etc as stick-ins. Fiddly and possibly expensive. How big is a flumph? |
