USS Spuytin Duyvil

The U.S.S. Spuyten Duyvil was the Union Navy's first purpose-built torpedo boat, launched in 1864 to counter Confederate innovations in naval warfare. Originally named Stromboli, she was quickly renamed after the Spuyten Duyvil area of New York City, and became a pioneering vessel in the use of spar torpedoes during the Civil War.

There are two models in the set: one semi-submerged, the other in her transit condition. The models are scaled to 1:600, and print well at 1:1200 or 1:300 on a resin printer.
