Our North Star 1672 range continues with three new packs.
The 1672 range covers the armies and enemies of Louis XIV (1665-1680). It was originally sold by Copplestone Castings as Glory of the Sun.
Our in-house figure designer, Mr. Steve Saleh, has been expanding the range, filling the missing packs, and taking it in new directions.
His latest three packs are:
- Armored Cavalry Command
- Cavalry in Breastplates and three-bar Lobster Pot helmets (suitable for English and German cavalry)
- Our first personality pack, containing the Duke of Monmouth and John Churchill. (Click on the link for more information on these two.)
We are also really pleased with these new carts from 4Ground - link and link - that can be used for a 1672 baggage train. They are laser-cut MDF kits, and are at a very reasonable price. We plan to make drivers and draft horses very soon.
To keep up-to-date with our 1672 releases, follow us on Facebook here, and/or join our new mailing list.
The mailing list is being put together by Kev Dallimore, hobby veteran and new member of the North Star team. Kev is also working on a North Star internet site, bringing you painting and modelling tips, and some of the first features will be for our 1672 range. Look out for announcements of its launch soon.
North Star 1672 figures are 28mm-sized, made of metal, and supplied unpainted.
