Twilight of the Confederacy

The Twilight series of historical wargame rules are aimed at fighting large battle, often historical, relatively easily, with a reasonable number of resources and without the need for very large tables. The units are brigades and a lot of historical battles can be fought as single player battles in a normal gaming session. Any basing system or figure size can be used. All measurements in the game are based on the frontage of a unit and there is no casualty removal. The system is quick to learn and intuitive. It encourages historical tactics and the player to take the role of the commander of a full army.

The Twilight of the Confederacy rules are aimed at refighting the battles of the American Civil War. The focus is on the series of campaigns and battles that tolled America apart from 1861 to 1865. The players can refight the victories and defeats of the great commanders of the era, Robert E. Lee, Ulysses Grant, George McClellan, and others, in battlefields across the United States.

The rules include scenarios for the battles of First Bull Run (1861), Stones River (1862), and Bentonville (1865).
